Yes it's a bare bones sort of place. But on our weekday lunchtime visit the they were a quarter full, the service was fine and we felt very welcome. We had three toddlers between four adults and the staff were great with them, bringing kids drinks and extra straws. The main reason you'd come here is for the seafood - fried shrimp, oysters and fish in particular. We had shrimp po boys, fried oysters, fried grouper, and softshell crab (fried of course). All were delicious, except the fish which was a fraction over-cooked. There were generous sides of homemade fries, and puppies. We had a seat in the back dining room which looks out onto the creek and enjoyed watching the wildlife and some guys with a very expensive boat attempt to fill with fuel. It was all great.
