“Gibson Inn - Great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

We stopped at the Gibon Inn restaurant actually on our way to another place- just to check out the menu. SO glad we did. The dining room is lovely. The staff helpful. The food superb! Prices resonable. Servings large size. All tucked away in an lovely turn of the century inn. A must stop for dining in the St. George Island area.

“Every morsel was sheer delight!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

Excellent food. Excellent service. Extremely comfortable dining area. The tables were spaced appropriately. No blairing music. The room temperature was perfect...I think we closed the place...hated to leave. This is a must if you are in the Apalachicola area.

“Excellent Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

There is nothing to dislike. The best food in Apalachicola. Try this restaraunt first before trying any other, you will not be disappointed.

“Count your oysters”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012 via mobile

Evidently nine oysters equals a dozen here. Tasty, but count them. Not much else to say. Limited beer selection. Go to the Tap Room at Owl Cafe instead.

“Ira's at the Gibson Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Thanksgiving dinner was the first holiday meal available at a restaurant that had been without a Chef for a very long time. Unfortunately, for the new Chef and his staff, the maitre d' was unable to work that day due to circumstances beyond his control. The buffet started at noon, I think, and people stayed at their tables too long because the food was simply too good. My husband and I had dinner there, and it was well worth the short wait. The staff was doing everything they possibly could to make everyone feel welcome and tended to. If there were bad feelings on Thanksgiving Day at Ira's at the Gibson, I believe it had more to do with the assumption of some people that the world should come to a screeching halt when they arrive than it did with any lack of service or absolutely delicious food. I would recommend Ira's at the Gibson to anyone who loves a good meal with good wines and a warm ambiance!
