The Witherspoon Inn is a restored 140 y/o home in the center of Apalachicola. We stayed on the first floor in a two room king bed suite. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a tub shower combination. There was a sofa bed and end table in the other room. Across the hall there is a kitchenette with coffee and tea pots and supplies, a mini-fridge, etc. Sandy, the inn-keeper provides juice, fruit, biscotti, coffee, tea, ice, and many, many tasty baked goods. In a threee night stay we saw muffins, brownies and sour cream pound cake. The inn is decorated with contemporary furniture and the walls display original artwork by Sandy's husband. The Inn is located less than a block from the main road and just a block or two from the main street shopping district, on a quiet street. The second floor rooms open on to a balcony with a view of a very large, very lovely live oak tree. No TV or phone but there is wifi with a good signal. All in all a nice place to stay in a good location in Apalach.
