“Bean Point - AMI”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

If you are into beaches and going to the edge of an island, Bean Point is a must. Beautiful, soft as butter sand with amazing views at the northern tip of Anna Maria Island. Can see Tampa on clear days.

“So beautiful!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

Short walk, very nice beach. Lovely view. Be sure to obey the parking rules. Just go along the path to the beach, look for the birds along the way. Just lovely. Enjoy the scenery.

“Top of the Island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Bean Point is accessible via a short path from the road. Not suitable for swimming with the currents, the beach is must visit gorgeous with views of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, Egmont Key and ST Pete's Beach across the water. Recently the sands have shifted making long walks to the South accessible. You can walk North all the way to the Rod and Reel Pier at low tide.

Unfortunately Anna Maria's parking fascists make it difficult to access this beach. Just go inland a block or 2 and be sure to read the parking signs very carefully.

“Don't bother unless you can walk”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

We drove up from Bradenton Beach based on all the 5 star reviews. There is not much parking and it is all pay! The beach is nice, but you can park at Coquina Beach for free. The beach is narrow and current is very swift. I don't understand what all the fuss is about.

“Absolutely the best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

During our time renting a house near Anna Maria's north end, we walked around Bean Point every morning. Wonderful and varied birdlife, sand comfortable for easy walking or running, and a panoramic view of the mouth of Tampa Bay. Walking here is one if the reasons to come to AMI!
