“Cozy, family friendly place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2011

This is a great gathering spot for coffee (which is fantastic) and breakfast to start your day. Just a wonderful addition to an already fantastic destination. Congratulations, to the owner on the love and effort that was put into the decor and layout. Your staff here is very friendly and do a great job.
The menu is small, but just the right stuff to get a tasty bite. We are frequent visitors to the island and we had breakfast everyday here and stopped by in the afternoon for smoothie too. We stayed on spring ave. at the Sunrise Garden resort and just walked over a couple of blocks to pine where the cafe sits. Outdoor seating is beautiful.

“Don't waste your time and money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2011

It looked okay from the outside but from there on it was downhill all the way. We sat inside as who wants to sit on an outside deck with temperatures in the 90's and noisy trolley buses passing feet from your table. Seriously if this place was in the UK it would be closed down by Health and Safety. There didn't even appear to be a kitchen! On top of that it was overpriced and the sandwiches we ordered were bland. Better elsewhere.

“ok, but better nearby”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2011

There are four or five places in Anna Maria to get coffee and pastries in the morning: this one is new, and started off smartly. Then management or ownership changed and with it came an immediate downturn in service. Everything on the menu is the same in name as Ginny and Janey's just up the street except not as well executed. From the inconsistent and sometimes watery coffee that underwhelms to the slightly stale/freezer-burned muffins. We ordered sandwiches to take to the beach, and were disturbed to see the staff putting them together on a counter right next to dirty dishes...ugh! Worse, and I know that this is a tourist area, but $8 for a "Rosedale" signature sandwich that looks like it is on wonder-bread? Olive-Oil Outpost just up the street has much better coffee, and G&J much better food. Your best bet here is to get your sandwiches handmade at Publix for half the price, then sit at The Village Cafe: they do have an extensive deck and free wi-fi.
