“New and fresh atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

This motel certainly seems new and well designed in many ways. The front desk granted our request for a room near the stairs. The stairs are clean with carpeted landings: good for folks who like to avoid elevators. Our suite with queen bed had an adequate sized living/desk area. The bed area was somewhat cramped. About 3 feet more on all 3 sides of the bed would have made a big difference. The closet was small and hard to access. Delightfully, the window will open a few inches which is enough to get some fresh air and a very nice touch. The desk was large and had a good desk chair. Good plumbing, too. As others mentioned, the breakfast menu is diverse but, here again, the space is not large and the table area gets crowded easily. We found a wonderful breakfast restaurant " First Watch" right around the corner in the Villages strip-shopping area. We walked over for 2 of our 3 breakfasts.

We needed to stay in the northern part of the Orlando area for one night and we chose this Springhill Suites. Great choice. I was familiar with the area so I was comfortable with where this hotel was situated. Not far from Altamonte Mall and (as someone else said) Crane Roost Park (which is decorated beautifully for Christmas and we really enjoyed walking around the lake).

The hotel is very nice. The room was VERY quiet and comfortable. The staff was professional and pleasant. And the breakfast was good (although you should probably not serve that "sausage" - it was terrible). I could have done without the Sunday morning broadcast of the local megachurch on all the televisions, but I can live with that.

Next time I'm in the Altamonte Springs area and need to spend the night, I'll look here first.

I can totally agree with the October 2 review. I had a super stay! I read reviews in advance and avoided getting lost. This property is tucked directly behind the Ramada Inn. For the first time, I was greeted as a rewards member upon check- in. Check in was flawless. The lobby empties in to an inviting pool area. The room had a fresh aroma and the decor was so upscale and trendy, making me assume that this was a new property. The layout of the king room was almost like a studio apartment - very spacious including kitchen. Lighting was good, bed and pillows comfortable, and carpet new looking and clean. Plumbing worked fine. Unlike some other chains, they still provide lotion - the most wonderful tea tree lemon sage. I will go out and look for more. Free wifi, near translucent window shades for privacy with light. - and just much more. Breakfast was the nicest I have seen in a hotel without a restaurant. Hot oatmeal, freshly cut and whole fruit, along with the usual breakfast fare. I was so pleased to find broccoli quiche for breakfast. Really a cut above the norm in every way. Plenty flat screens. Docking station for iPod, and many other extras. I was here on business and was in no hurry to leave the property. You will want to bring your bathing suit/ gear! I was sorry that I left mine. This would be the kind of place as another reviewer said to stay while sightseeing and come back to in the evening. One reviewer mentioned the paper thin room and the simple breakfast. Sounds like a different hotel. I had a totally different experience.

Room Tip: King size near elevators, upper levels.

The staff here are very nice and attentive. The rooms have been re-done. The breakfast was delicious and free! The pool area needs to be maintained better. The pool was supposed to be heated, it was not it was freezing. The hot tub was hot but looks a bit dirty. The beds are comfortable and there little kitchen area is great. The location is good as well. If you stay here, you will want to visit Cranes Roost Park, its beautiful.

Cookie cutter standard in quality but the paper thin walls mean can hear a whisper from your neighbors, or them arriving at 3am. Both happened on my two night stay. The comp breakfast is simple. The swimming pool is tiny. The gym is a glorified closet. If none of those bother you then this place is fine.

Manage your expectations.

We stayed only one night here on a visit to the area. The property is located close to I-4 and adjacent to a Ramada. Our reservation was there when we checked in and the desk staff person was friendly, fast and helpful with our questions.

Our suite was very nicely appointed and, as is typical with Marriott, very clean. The king bed was comfortable and the quality and quantity of pillows was perfect. The A/C unit functioned as it should and did not make any unwanted noises.

The bath area was clean as well and all plumbing worked fine. Our breakfast the next morning was good, hot and plentiful. Normal fare for Marriotts, cereals, juices, eggs, sausage, muffins and bagels along wih yogurts, coffee and fresh fruit.

The location is convenient to many restaurants, gas stations and other businesses. There are less expensive hotels near but for the price we paid, this SpringHill is well worth consideration.

Upon arriving we were greeted by the most incredibly friendly guest services representative I have ever encountered. I felt like I was being welcomed into his personal home, that is how incredibly friendly he was. Our room more than exceeded my expectations. The room had a very freshly cleaned smell. The beds were extremely comfortable and soft, bed linens were clean and crisp. There were plenty of pillows. The sofa pulled out easily into a queen size bed with linen already provided in the closet. The bed linen and towels were changed daily. The Jacuzzi and pool were a welcome amenity after spending time out seeing the sites. The free continental breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, hot cooked oatmeal with an assortment of toppings, fresh fruit, and a large assortment of danish, bagels, english muffins, toast, orange juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, milk and yogurt. You would spend a considerable amount if you went out and ordered the same breakfast so it was nice to start the day with a hot free breakfast. There is a cooler right next to the check in desk where there are available, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, several types of other ice cream treats, pizza for the microwave, juice, soda and candy bars and other treats. The Amway Center was 20 minutes away, Walt Disney World was only 30 minutes away and Kennedy Space Center was 1 hour away. Free Wi Fi was a definite plus and the connection maintained good strength through out my usage. Parking is easily accessible and there is a Perkins restaurant right in front of the hotel if you don't want to go out. If you want to order pizza, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Proccolino's. You can view their website online. I am from NY and I am very picky about my pizza and this pizza was absolutely delicious, delivery was hot and quick (45 min) and you can pay over the phone with your Visa/MC/AMEX. On my next trip to the Orlando area I know exactly where I will be staying and that is at this hotel. I booked through Expedia.com and I could not have been more happy with the hotel, Expedia and the price.

Room Tip: Rooms are spacious, Air conditioners are clean and very efficient. Rooms have small fridge, small m...
