Check in was ok but the room was terrible. No towels, no iron or ironing board. Stains on sofa pillows. Floor was not vacumed. Notified the front desk about the iron and board and was told maintenance came in at 10:00am. I was late to work because of this. Chewing gum was stuck on the headboard. Missing lamp in the living room. Lighting was terrible. Room was in need of upgrade. Did not have time to complain and try and move to another room. keys removed from the phone in living room. No phone in bedroom. Unable to provide lotion and a comb.

This hotel was horrible. The service my girlfriend and I received was horrible. The front-desk manager barely spoke to us and was on her cell phone the whole time. The room we were supposed to stay in had mold on the ceiling and smelled like mold. So we called Homestead Studio Suites Altamonte Springs and had a much more pleasant experience with them and trying to find a safe place to stay. Rather than the Days Inn and Suites in Altamonte Springs. Not only did the hotel put us in an unsanitary room they are refusing to refund my money and are making false claims. I will never go to this hotel or recommend it to anyone ever.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The breakfast is good. The rooms are nice and well maintained. It is located very near the I-4 and many shops and restaurants. The outdoor pool is very nice. We would return.

Room Tip: You may enjoy a room looking out on the beautiful courtyard.

The trashy area mentioned by an earlier reviewer was not in evidence when I was there, nor were there characters of any kind lurking around, except me when I made a cell phone call. See review.

We stayed a week at this older motel with an attractive Spanish-style inner courtyard patio with fountain, table and palm trees at one end, and an enclosed swimming pool on the other. Located about a block from I-4, and c. 30 minutes from the Disney area, room ammenties included adequate lighting and outlets for chargers, mini microwave and fridge, c. 27 in" standard definition TV, phone, iron w/ board, hair dryer, writing table, dresser drawers, and multi-functioned shower head in the shower stall. The room was thoroughly dusted and straightened, towels and washcloths replaced everyday (notwithstanding our hanging them up per an Earthsmart (green) placquard in the bathroom). All equipment was in fine working order except for the clock radio which couldn't keep its time set (we didn't need it and advised same to front desk). A national newspaper was provided for guests M-F. Free wi-fi proved adeuqate (we did not try games). We arrived late at night, but the attendant was waiting with a smile and a key.

IT's not a new motel, but its a good one. I'd rate it 2.6 out of 5 stars for T-A. Touring organizations would probably rate it 2.

Breakfast consisted of DIY waffles, smaller-than-tennis ball sized fresh apples, premium brewed coffee, two juices, two cold cereals, white and wheat bread, and one or two varieties of mini-muffins, and milk. The same fare was served everyday, but kept attentively stocked. Waffles were usually good; but with only one waffle machine, resulting in 12 minute cycle times for a family of four.

Front desk quickly accomodated us when we noticed traces of mildew in the bathroom of our first unit. Our replacement was sparkling clean.

We enjoyed sitting in the patio one evening in comfortable September air. Staff later told me the patio was a site for a catered reception last year. It IS a lovely place, suitable for a party of (say) 20 (?), which they decorated with roses over the arched breezeways with trellises surrounding the fountain and courtyard. Balconies and breezeways could accomodate another 30.

HVAC was via a below-the-window unit that allowed the fan to run all the time for white noise. During humid days there was a slight musty sense remedied by lowering the temperature. Except for the winter months, the heat is turned off, and will trip the cirucuit breaker built into the unit's plug--simple to reset. The desk told me they will turn on the heat by special request, but normally its off to reduce damage should child guests play with the heat/AC control. In the bathroom, an exhaust fan switch is located on the opposite side of the sink from the entrance with the lightswitch.

Quirks: The lobby has a computer for guests, but it is not connected to a printer. Several days the desk supplied us with wash clothes when housecleaning removed the used ones without replacing them. A few days I raided the breakfast area for coffee stirrers when they were not included in the daytime room cleanup. If the inn were full, the breakfast area may get crowded and the waffle line backed up, unless they add a second machine.

Room Tip: A double set of rooms face the inner courtyard or the street. Inner courtyard rooms are very quiet...

This hotel looks OK.. in it's pictures, but it is a DUMP!!!! We checked into this hotel, and went to our room. On the way to the room we drove around the back of the building, and saw some shady characters. I should have know this was not going to be good because there was trash, and cigarette butts laying everywere. This place just made me feel dirty walking up to the second floor where our room was. We opened the door, and were balsted by the smell of mold, and OLD.. I mean OLLLLLLLLLLLLLD..... The cord to the lamp on the wall had been cut, so it would not come on... My wife has COPD, so there was no way we could stay there. I went down to the lobby, and told them that we could not stay in the room, and why... We booked this hotel through SOUTHWEST airlines web site. The girl told us basically no way.. I called Southwest, and got the run around... We checked in at the Hawthorn suits, and had a wonderful experience.
I did not stay in the room, and was charged anyway.... STAY AWAY....
