Well we were on a week long trip to Alachua for a family wedding. The wedding party was staying next door at the Comfort Inn, but when we arrived, they had given our room away. After numerous issues (see that review) we came to Quality Inn. Quality Inn proved they had both quality over their competition and comfort. :o)
Immediately, Quality Inn made our trip better. They provided our group of 5 with 2 rooms (at a rate cheaper than Comfort was giving to the wedding party and out of town guests who rented about 20 or more rooms for up to 2 weeks.) The rooms were clean and spacious. We were given a choice and we chose poolside lower level. The rooms were clean and had refrigerators, blow dryer, etc. All the basics were covered. The pool was great, much larger than next doors and nicer surroundings, clean and warm. There was also a mexican restaurant on the premises which provided good food at reasonable prices. The complimentary continental breakfast actually had a good selection.
I had no problems with the in room internet and getting my laptop online. The front desk was available and helpful any time I asked. Ice, snack and soda machines were available and all working.
I would definately stay here again when visiting this area.
The BBQ place across the street from the hotel offered good food at reasonable prices too.
