Travelling through Denver we were looking for a sushi buffet in the area and decided to check out Sushi Katsu due to all the good reviews and reasonable price at $23.95 for dinner. The place was completely full with several people waiting to be seated, but it only took 15 or so minutes to get the table. The servers/hosts actually did a great job seating everyone that came as quickly as they could despite being very busy - there were six sushi cooks at the sushi bar! Sushi Katsu works exactly like any other sushi buffet, you mark your selections on their 'buffet' menu and if something is not on that menu but is on the regular menu, you can still write it down and get it except 3 special rolls (Denver, Spider, and BSC?). Except rolls you can also get a variety of appetizers, salads, soups, and standard entrees, like chicken fried rice. If you do not finish the food you order , you get charged for leftovers. It took sometime to get our order but everything tasted good and seemed fresh, though it was not the best sushi I've ever had but then you cannot expect to get anything too exquisite at the buffet. The only thing that was surprising is that they were unwilling to accept an email coupon that they offer on their website (15%) and required a printed copy. Although it is understandable concern that customers would use a coupon multiple times, you would think it is possible to come up with a better and more environmentally friendly mechanism to track it rather than require paper waste.
