We have stayed at this hotel numerous times as it was convenient for us when flying out of DIA. In fact we stayed there on Aug. 4, 2008 and made reservations to stay when we returned from a trip with our son, daughter-in-law and 4 granddaughters. When we arrived, we noticed that the rooms are beginnign to look somewhat rundown. They could use some updating. On the morning of Aug. 5th we were shuttled to DIA after a 3:00AM fire alarm evacuation, at the hotel. When the shuttle took us to the airport they provided a child safety seat for our youngest granddaughter. Upon returning to Denver we called for the shuttle. When we went to load our luggage there was no child safety seat. My husband, myself and 3 oldest granddaughters went ahead in the shuttle, while our son, daughter-in-law and the baby waited at the airport, for the shuttle to return for them with a child seat. When we arrived at the hotel we asked when the shuttle driver was going to go back to the airport for our family. The general manager, said they didn't have any child seats. The one used earlier on our trip was borrowed from the airline. He also stated that it wasn't his responsibility to get our KID to the hotel. This upset my husband and there were words exchanged between him and the manager. The manager then told my husband our reservations for the night were cancelled and to remove our luggage off of his cart. We took the luggage and our son and daughter-in-law were forced to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel where our vehicles were. We then drove home 250 miles starting at 9:00 PM after an early morning start in Mexico.
This was the WORST experience we have ever had with any hotel we have stayed in.
I would NOT reccommend this hotel to anyone. If you plan on staying there and have small children be aware that they do not have child safety seats and will refuse to shuttle you to the airport or to the hotel, from the airport.
The manager is an arrogant, rude, uncaring person who seems to have let his position as manager give him the authority to treat people as ugly as he can.
There are many more hotels in the DIA area, we don't need to stay in one where our family is not treated fairly and with respect.

It is law that a child must sit in a child restraint seat while being transported. Due to limitations in vehicle space and the variety of children's sizes, the hotel does not supply these seats. It is the responsibility of the parent(s) to provide this for their child. The Crystal Inn cares about the safety of our guests, big and small; therefore we strictly adhere to all transportation laws in order to protect our guests.
