Generally I agree with the positive reviews of this hotel. The rooms are nicely appointed, including huge televisions that swivel from living area to bed area, although the sofas are starting to show a little wear. I asked for the north side of the hotel which faces away from I-70 for the quiet and I suspect it did help as it was relatively quiet. However, I did get a room near the ice machine on a Friday night which is a mistake, but I should have asked about. that. The internet access was always available, the breakfast area generally clean, and most the staff were friendly and helpful (though one gave me a blank stare when I asked for a spoon in the evening and had to forage for it myself). The gentleman who appeared to be a manager was particularly helpful. There are restaurants and grocery stores within a short distance and immediate access to I-70, though downtown is, as one would expect, a bit of a drive. I even saw a coyote in a field not far from the airport one evening while killing time, and prairie dogs can be seen in abundance along Pena boulevard nearby. In summary, definitely a thumbs up with only very minor drawbacks.

I stayed at the Hyatt for Memorial weekend and I had a blast w/
the local places. First of all there was a great liquor store across the street that was very friendly with everyone coming in and there
was a great mexican restaraunt. Great place located near the
Airport. The rooms were clean, service a little slow.

This is a renovated Amerisuites near Denver airport and the I 225/70 junction. The desk staff are pleasant but slow and inefficient; they complained about their computer system and how slow it was...they are right. The lobby is small and pleasant ly decorated with a small bar and sitting area. Room are attractively decorated/updated with a large sitting area, a huge flatscreen TV, comfortable beds and a small bathroom/sink area, outfitted with lots of towels but few amenities. The bathrooms look like they belong to another hotel; an old bathtub and toilet and cramped space, poor lighting, with dirty glasses. Avoid a room near the elevator, you will hear traffic and elevator beeping clearly in your room. The hotel offers a comlimentary continental breakfast, standard "low rent fare" and you can also order hot food (which I did not do). I was charged $199/night, excessive for the room and hotel; worse, the previous occupant paid $89 for the same room, also on a weekday. How do I know? His receipt was left on the desk in the room for me to see!

“Great Place for Business Travellers!”

This is a great hotel for people needing quick access to Denver International Airport and it is an excellent property for the business traveller. The hotel has been recently updated and it has a number of great features. Each room has a sitting area with a large "L" shaped couch and ottoman; a bar fridge and sink area; a desk area; a 42" flat screen TV; a bed area; and a bathroom/dressing area. Nice touches include the fact that the tub and toilet are in a separate room with the sink outside. The TV is on a moving pedestal that allows it to be viewed from either the bed or the couch area. There is also a panel on the side of the TV area that allows you to plug in laptops, PDAs, cell phones, etc... and allows for the connection of laptops to the TV. The hotel also offers HDTV cable service so that the channels that are broadcast in HD actually show up that way. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly...always with a nice greeting, smile and assitance. The hotel lobby is set-up under a new concept that encourages patrons to mix and mingle. Each morning the hotel provides a complementary continental breakfast that is really good. During my one week stay there was always plenty of: starbucks coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, bagels, white and brown toast, english muffins, fruit, yogurt, cereal, cream cheese, peanut butter, butter, strawberry jam, honey, and blackberry jam. If that wasn't enough the hotel also offers a selection of hot breakfast items that can be purchased in the breakfast area. The lobby has plenty of chairs and tables to allow for lounging and eating. In the evening there were always hotel guests hanging out in the lobby and enjoying the cash bar service. The hotel also offers 24/7 food items for purchase in the lobby (e.g. starbucks coffee, fruit, sandwiches, snacks, etc...) There are also two computer stations offered in the lobby free of charge. I found the computer access to be very fast and handy to allow for a quick check of email, internet etc... They even offer a printer for small print jobs (all free). I didn't bring a laptop on my trip, but I am pretty sure that the wireless internet in the rooms is free as well. The hotel also has a great pool and fitness area (new equipment) and a free shuttle to the hotel (make sure to book a spot with the front desk to ensure your place). Finally, this hotel is very handy to I-70 and has numerous restaurants/bars nearby including: Outback, Ted's Montana Grill, Applebees, a Mexican place, Uno Chicago Grill, etc... There is also a Liquor store right down the street. I would definitely stay at the Hyatt Place again!
