It's new so it's clean but the surroundings are sides of huge buildings which makes the views not so great. And there are a number of things that just bugged me. These little things on their own are nothing but one after another begins to bother you.
There are no plugs near a mirror in the room, only in the bathroom. So if you like to put your make up on and free up the bathroom, your out of luck.
We had a double room yet they supplied only 1 shampoo, 1 soap. It was kinda silly. We had 4 people (me, husband, 19 yr old and 14 yr old). And we had 2 towels as well. Of course we found where we could get more.
The air conditioning just didn't seem to keep up. I put it on 70 hoping it would kick on but it didn't. And this is a new building as I'm writing this (4 months).
There aren't any tissues anywhere but in the bathroom. When we had a family member sneeze, and it was a tiny problem but still... another little thing...
Downstairs for the complimentary breakfast, there were no bagels, no toast, no eggs. It was just not as nice as many other La Quinta's we've been to. And we've been to enough to earn points and use them.
We could hear the people above us who had little kids that were running back and forth. I don't recall ever hearing people above us before like that. It wasn't that bad since it was before 10 or 11 pm but thought I should mention it.
Also and probably most important is that this place is located near a nasty area of town. We felt OK but it's something to be aware of.
Overall I would not stay here again because of all the little things that seem to add up. It's a shame because I like La Quinta and the people who work here seem Ok. I think the management has cut too many corners here and there and needs to make some changes.
