“Excellent Place to Visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

I used to run there back in the day. Lots of great trails for running. I still like to drive through periodically and our daughter sometimes drives through as a shortcut to work.

Great place for outdoor recreation don't miss it if you're in the area.

“Relaxing and Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Fun and beautiful place. Lots of things to do or just sit on a beach (no, really a beach). Lots of wildlife and so relaxing. Walking trails are wonderful.

“Great fall colors”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

I went to the park in the middle of october and the fall colors were just amazing. i spent about two hours exploring the trails inside the wetlands preserve and it was so peaceful and quiet. I got to see a red tailed hawk, a prairie falcon, several mule deers, and bunch of prairie dogs. The only thing i didn't like about the park is how close the shooting range is to the park, you can hear the noise throughout most of the park.

“What A Gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

Hard to believe that right smack dab in the heart of the Denver metro areas is this great not so little state park. It has plenty of Ramadas if you like to picnic and a small lake to enjoy. We saw 4 deer in the 2 hours we were there. Plenty of hiking and biking paths as well with grade changes to make it fun and challenging. If you have a few hours when in town' I would recommend a side trip for sure.

“Very nice Denver campground”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

The Cherry Creek Park campground is located conveniently, both to the highway and to the City. It is well laid out, with more than adequate space around each site, and with trees shading most of them. Bathrooms are very nice, and very clean. Rates are reasonable.

We had a nice paddle on the Cherry Creek Reservoir. There were birds and deer to watch. The southern end was marked off from the power boats and jet skiis. Overall a very nice afternoon was spent there.

We saw a number of fishermen, and talked to one of them for while about how he was doing. He mostly caught nothing, he said, and had had no luck that day. We saw no fish caught by anyone else while we were there.
