“Great B&B with superb location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

At a fraction of the price of nearby hotels, you get a nice room, a small, friendly place, super breakfast, free WiFi, great location, and unbeatable ambiance. The rooms are minimally appointed, but have all the necessities. Hard to beat!

Excited for the stay after reading all the reviews, but found it lacking for this area. It is in need of updating - linens, carpeting, lobby. Did enjoy the coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby and easy access to downtown eateries and shops. Need better signage, didn't know where to park or get to the lobby. Friendly staff and environmentally friendly bathroom amenities, ok for the price.

Great hotel within one block of shopping/restaurants, underground/secure parking ---- we reserved the room through online site (the day before) for $110/night. King-size bed, fireplace, sofa, small "kitchen" area with refrigerator/microwave. We had a door that opened upon the heated pool area/hot tub, sauna, exercise facility, etc. The breakfast was delicious, with a different hot breakfast menu each day prepared by their chef, along with assortment of hot/cold cerals, fruit, fresh pastries, fresh squeezed orange juice, etc. We definitely plan to stay at this hotel again. The staff were very friendly and helpful!!

Room Tip: We had Room 110 -- good location, close to heated pool/dining room, parking garage. We were there f...

We stayed for two nights at the Mountain Chalet. Small room with a queen bed that was fine for the two of us. Sat on the balcony looking at Aspen ( Ajax) Mountain and across the street at the St Regis where you can pay big bucks for the same location. Substantial breakfast included. Easy walking to all of in town Aspen - shops, galleries, restaurants, etc. easy in and out underground garage for trips to Maroon Bells.

More like an authentic Swiss Chalet in Chamonix, a smaller, casual place, but very friendly service, with nice touches like the amazing fresh OJ, egg benedict/ omelette breakfasts served by friendly staff, oversized, just filled clean jacuzzi, lounge chairs by the pool, & across from the volleyball park, near the outdoor mall, bus station to Maroon Bells & Snowmass, and across from the Very pricey St. Regis Hotel & Aspen ski mtn. We had a quiet, spacious king room on the top (4th) floor with fridge, sink, plates, silverwear, wine glasses, & Kerug coffee maker, clean, big, comfy sleigh bed, + a murphy bed, table & loveseat, big leather chairs, big flatscreen TV with free DVD's at the office...A very comfortable stay. No formalities or surprise charges. Just get a free parking spot on the street, walk and stay all weekend. A great experience & value.

The Mountain Chalet, 100 bucks, great breakfast, to order! Had some great eggs, good coffee, plenty of juice. The staff and help are superb in every way. Aspen was beautiful this year and the hotel is in an ideal location. You just can't beat this place. Nice large jacuzzi, a steam room, workout room. Coffee all day in the lobby. 100 bucks is a lot, but for Aspen, it's cheap, so it's really the best deal going up there. When you toss in all the intangibles, it's a ridiculous price.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good.
