“Perfection!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

Having traveled throughout the US and abroad this is one hotel that stands out. The location couldn't be better, the hotel is small and charming, the rooms are spacious and very accommodating and the food is wonderful! Love the truffle fries and oh the deserts......
Most of all is the staff. I pretty much got to know every name and they never forgot mine. I'll never forget Sept. in Aspen and I'm looking forward to being there again next Sept.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor which afforded excellent views.

Needed to get out of Denver and booked a room for Saturday night. We followed the yellow-lit road (Independence Pass on a cloudless day with golden leaves brushing the car) to what has to be the best-staffed hotel in the US. Location, room/bed comfort, and the included perks and amenities are all what make this place great, but their staff is what sets them apart - invisible, but always present. In particular, the valet/concierge team got my fiancée and me everywhere we needed to be, and were excited to do so. Hints on activities (best means to view Maroon Bells, local yoga class with incredible instructor at King Yoga) were extra appreciated. I'm rarely compelled to gush at pricey places because the experience can be perfect, but flat. Not here. For any place comparable in price, the Nell is the only way to go.

You can not find a more conveniently located property in Aspen. Located at the base of the Gondala and adjacent to all the shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable. Try to get a room on the mountain side. Occasionally noise from the street carries into the city side rooms. The restaurants is large and breakfast, while on the pricey side, offers tasty selections. The staff in the restaurant did mix up our breakfast choices two days in a row and was quite persistent in wanting to take our order even though the restaurant was less than 1/4 full. The hotel has a well appointed exercise facility. They picked us up at the airport in a beautiful Audi. This was our third stay here and we can't wait to come back.

Room Tip: Request an even numbered room. These rooms are on the mountain or pool side of the hotel

We just returned from the Little Nell in Aspen, Co. and could not have been happier. We booked a standard king suite with a mountain view and it was lovely. Nice sitting area with fireplace. Beautiful balcony view. All snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are free in the room. Turn down service each night with a treat at bed, slippers, bottle of water. Concierge knew our names by day two. Great suggestions of things to do. Complimentary Cadillac and driver to take you anywhere you want to go in town. Just excellent and personal service. My husband and I were sitting by the pool just relaxing one day (both had our eyes closed) and a waiter just saw us there and brought us refreshing glasses of water garnished with lemon without us even asking and so quietly that we didn't even know he or she was there till we sat up and saw them! The Montagna Restaurant there was wonderful! A true culinary adventure. The Ajax Restaurant is less formal but also very good. Great location right at base of mountain and a short walk to all things in town. Highly recommend the is hotel if you're visiting Aspen.

Room Tip: Mountain View is beautiful.

Awesome. Find something luxury but not "snob". Easy style for summer... but always well presented. Staff very very friendly. Location perfect for skiing with lift direct in front of the hotel and.center for summer. Rooms are awesome with fireplace and totally renewed. Bath are very large and sooooo romantic and luxuruous. The luxury of the semplicity. Small but great pool with view on the mountain. Even the restaurant it's very nice.. not outstanding, but good quality. Steaks good but not the best. U can find something better. Valet parking for 28 $. Price very high... expensive, but it's Aspen. You should be prepared.
I hope this review could be usefull.

From the call to make reservations, to the greeting upon arrival, to the experience during our 4 day stay, this is a truly outstanding hotel. The staff are exceptionally capable, friendly, cheerful, helpful. Our room was outstanding, compared to other excellent Aspen sites and those in New York, Paris, Zurich, Vegas, and other places where they try to achieve what the Nell definitely achieves.

The ambiance, the service, the amenities, the staff is all truly wonderful at The Little Nell. I have traveled alot and stayed at plenty of hotels. I would never consider The Little Nell as just a "hotel", it is a royalty experience. No matter who you are, everyone that works at The Little Nell makes you feel very special and like royalty. Not a lot of places that can make you feel that way as an all around experience. The rooms are gorgeous, the beds are very comfortable, the daily service to the rooms is genious and again the staff is remarkable. I would not stay anywhere else but here for my next trips to Aspen!
