I know, I know, why on earth would anyone go to Aspen during the off season? Well, my wife and I did and had an amazing time. We stayed the week before Thanksgiving. There was no skiing yet but we were able to do tons of hiking and had a super relaxing time. Some things to note about Sky in the off season: the staff are way more relaxed - instead of stressed out / maxed out days and days, the whole environment was really chill. This was just what we were looking for - a quiet, mellow stay for a few days after some serious work in Denver. Secondly, check the Sky's 39 Degrees hours. They are not always open during the off season but the staff at Sky was willing to go anywhere in Aspen to pick up and deliver food for you - which they did for us, no problem. The pool was open, of course, and is a fun dip at 98º after a long hike. They also have some passes to the local health club and spa which is a nice addition to their fitness room, so be sure to take advantage of that. We had an amazing room with a fireplace that we hung out by when not outside dining, hiking, or shopping.

All in all, my not be what you picture when going to Aspen but if you have the time, it is a really great way to experience Aspen as it may have been before the onslaught of visitors. Let me say, being in Aspen when there are 10K people is much different than 75K. If you want a peaceful, almost serene stay, then Sky Hotel is a great choice in the off season. If you want to party and experience Aspen in all its glory, Sky too, would be my choice!

I have been coming here for years and can't wait to get there, summer, winter or fall! It is always the best! Great beds, fast WIFI, awesome food and fun pool area, fun guests and the staff is great....always super helpful and they have always given us the best service and recommendations from horseback riding around Snowmass, to bike/hike trails in the area, and of course the infamous MONSTER party during the XGames...we can't wait to get back. Oh yes, walk out the front door and you are on one of the best ski mountains in the world.... Alan you are awesome and you have a great staff! Thanks for everything!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Sky Hotel. We received an upgrade upon arrived from the friendly and professional reception staff. The room and facilities were top-notch and the location is perfect. Highly recommend a stay here.

We stayed in the Sky Hotel in September for the beautiful fall colors. We just loved it. The hotel and main entrance area are so beautiful, overlooking Aspen Mountain. The location is superb right by Aspen Mountain and minutes walking distance to all of Aspen. The staff is above and beyond - the pool and spa area is so nice and relaxing, the fireplace seating areas outside are great for late evening relaxing and enjoying drinks with friends after the hot tub. The restaurant and food is great too. This will be our new home away from home when we are in Aspen. Can't express in words how much we enjoyed our stay and what a great time we had. Can't wait to be back. Love the Sky in Aspen!! Thank you all so much.
