“Loved this little charmer, and the breakfast was fantastic!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013 via mobile

This is a great location for a modest (by Aspen standards) budget. I'd say it's about an 8 minute walk from the gondola. It's also walking distance from all of the bars and restaurants you'll be checking out at night. The design is adorable; our room was so cute with the pitched wood ceilings and would burning stove. It was also a nice size and a short jaunt from the hot tub. Furthermore the (included) breakfast, was delicious. I'd highly recommend this spot.

“Rocky Mountain Fall Retreat in Aspen”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

Sure we were not at the base of Aspen Mountain at the Hyatt, Little Nel, or St. Regis, but the Hotel Lenado was absolutely PERFECT for our weekend wedding get-a-way! Greeted by a cute Argentine hotelier, our small, yet quaint room was just a few steps away, and with view of a small park, which we walked by the 2 blocks to get into the heart of Aspen. Lenado's library and great room helped us relax in a cozy and warm, home like atmosphere. The clerks were outstanding, all very customer oriented, polite, patient, helpful and responsive to our needs. BREAKFAST was FREE and each day was a true delight to experience top chef specials, like almond covered lightly grilled french toast. Our friends that stayed there have visited Hotel Lenado several times, and we can now see why!

Room Tip: The upstairs rooms have direct access to the hot tub, while the ground level rooms open directly int...

“Pet friendly & people friendly!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

We usually stay at the Innsbruck when we are in Aspen, but this trip they didn't have any pet friendly units available. Most of the other pet friendly hotels were super expensive, SO we decided to try the small Hotel Lenado. They don't charge extra for pets which is always a pleasant surprise. We had an upgraded corner room with a king bed...very nice, but looked at a couple of rooms that were a bit on the small side with a queen bed. Staff were very pleasant & the breakfast they served every morning was fabulous. I would stay here again in the summer months (especially with a pet), but during the winter months the rates go up and I think they go up to a point that makes the hotel way too expensive for what you get.

Room Tip: If you want a room that is a bit larger, you must ask for an upgraded room with a king bed....these...

“Very comfortable hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

We stayed here in mid august. Staff was very helpful. We did have to close the windows as noise from the street was quite loud as Aspen was getting ready for the pro cycling challenge. Breakfast was wonderful.

“Best ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

This is small hotel built in the 80's and has an "old" Aspen feel. The rooms were cozy and well appointed. Water pressure good; tv worked, and you have to have those to meet my minimun standards. Breakfast was a MUST do.

I will have to say that there is a problem staying on the street. I would request the back from now on...or make sure I had ear plugs that work. The street cleaner, the garbage trucks, the riding lawn mowers all seem to come during sleeping hours...and it's pretty loud. I bought some ear plugs, but they weren't good ones, so they didn't work. I would stay in the front room again, because the hotel is that good to me. Helpful downstairs; and small enough to get your arms around. The computer printed out boarding pass without any hassle...and the location is really good. Of course, it's pretty easy to walk in Aspen.

I really really like this hotel, and would choose it over some of the more expensive ones.

Room Tip: Get off the street and get on the backside of the hotel. Noises that don't seem too bad in the...
