“Luxury and Perfect Location in Downtown Aspen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

We stayed 4 nights at the Hyatt Grand Aspen. Dates were September 29th thru October 3rd, 2013. Our room had a king bed overlooking the pool, spa and mountain in the background. The room was very clean, staff was super friendly, and location was perfect. My only complaint was the bed. It is a feather bed on top of the mattress which made it too soft for my back. Woke up sore each morning. The free breakfast is very basic. The best part of staying here is the location to walk to any shop, restaurant, or activity!

We are Hyatt people but do not own here. This is one of the top Residence/Vacation clubs in the Hyatt group and we have done most of them. First, the staff is outstanding, you have only to look puzzled and someone is reaching out to make your stay amazing.

The beds and furniture are top notch with Viking appliance in the kitchen. Twice daily maid service with the most organized and detailed housekeeping staff. Walking distance to all manner of restaurants, grocery store, coffee shops and more.

A European style breakfast is included with an array of newspapers. Yoghurt parfaits, waffles, hardboiled eggs, cereal, bagels and more with a delightful hostess.

Sheri, the concierge is very knowledgeable even about remote restaurants like the Cookhouse on Castle Creek with amazing food--do reserve if you can, very popular even off season.

Roger, Gabriel, Karen, Brendan and Chrissie at front desk are friendly, are quick to notice if you want a chat or a quick business transaction. We really felt at home and were amazed how quickly they knew our names and room number. The whole lobby team, valets etc. really care about this property and it shows. You can ask any of them for favorite hikes, directions... The engineer team is super too, they come in minutes and make you feel ok about not knowing how to play a DVD or whatever, thanks Oscar and Danny!

Fine gym, great pool and hot tubs. A real find, don't miss the Remede spa at St. Regis, for the price of a manicure you get the use of beautiful soak pool with waterfall, turkish steam room, oxygen room, hot/cold tub and delightful waiting area. However, a facial with Ferris is heaven and worth every penny. She is a real expert and a pleasure

Room Tip: when booking advise if view is most important or proximity to pool

We stayed for 3 nights in a studio. The room was very nice. A small refrigerator as well as a coffee maker and microwave made it convenient. Lovely outdoor pool and hot tub. Great fitness center as well. Staff helpful. Location was perfect into downtown Aspen. Never had to take our car. Highly Recommend.

We are Hyatt Residence Club owners, but not at this property. The Grand Hyatt is located centrally, with the City Market grocery store only a few short blocks away. During the rugby tournament, Ruggerfest, one of their main venues is within a block from the Hyatt. We invited our neighbors to join us in the two bedroom/ two bath unit, and they have been enjoying their first visit to Aspen as well as the proximity to local shops and restaurants. We have found two different walking venues nearby that offer views of the lovely homes in the area, as well as the beautiful scenery. A continental breakfast is offered each morning, and there are several choices of newspapers available for guests. There is a $23 daily charge for a second vehicle in the valet parking, but the convenience is worth it. You must pay for on street parking in town.
From the valets to the front desk, the concierge and the housekeepers, everyone has been friendly and helpful. Have not used the pool yet, but it looks very inviting. The fitness room on the main floor is nicely equipped. There is a shuttle which you can use upon request for those without a vehicle.

Had the pleasure of staying at this property for a long weekend this summer. Ideal location, close to everything, such as town park, shopping, eateries, window shopping walks, hiking, biking trails, & even free or sometimes nearly free public transport. We had the option of having breakfast downstairs in the family game/gathering room...and the food was sufficient. Breads, cereals, yogurts, (some days) waffles to warm up....but no meats or hot foods. Not a problem for us at all. Coffee was plentiful and delicious! Teas available, too. For those times we wanted to cook in, the kitchen was well appointed for the group chef. The bedrooms were sumptuous and ever so comfy. Bathrooms were spacious and stocked with L'Occitane products that never disappoint. Best of all - most quiet and unhurried. I would love to have the opportunity to stay here again, but it is rather $$$ pricy. Worth it, if money isn't an issue! Concierge service was excellent, too, I should add.

Room Tip: any room at this facility would be terrific. decks look out over something - hillside, townside, fi...

Let's start with location- right next town center and Aspen Mountain with stunning views.
How about service- totally outstanding, any request was done with a smile and promptly
The rooms- we were in a 2300 square foot suite with 2 other couples, each with our own bedroom suite and luxurious bath. Although the hotel is not brand new, it is so well maintained that it feels better than new. There was a very large common area and a kitchen brimming with high-end (Viking) appliances totally fitted out with all the amenities needed for an extended stay. The maid service was top notch, twice a day.
The included breakfast was excellent and the choice of indoor or outdoor seating added to our pleasure.
What else? Great large pool with hot tubs, excellent fitness room and warm lobby.
Concierge service was totally professional.

To say we loved the place would be a gross understatement

I just LOVE this hotel. Everything is done for you, from heated towels and robes at the pool to the front desk accommodating your every need. To make it better, the facility is over the top beautiful and could not be more centrally located. You must go. Aspen is from another world.

Room Tip: there are no bad rooms but the front of the hotel faces the bus stop
