Description: Cantina is a lively Mexican restaurant serving traditional and TexMex food in the Aspen area. Our menu offers everything from enchiladas, carnitas and carne asada to ceviche and wings. All of our food is fresh and prepared in-house daily, and we have daily specials that are always a favorite. We also have a fun happy hour atmosphere, with great drink and food specials. One of the most unique things about Cantina is that we serve our own infused tequila, and have the widest selection of tequila in the area. With the largest seating capacity of any restaurant in Aspen and with four distinct rooms, Cantina is a great place to host your event. We host everything from weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, college and employee events, to Superbowl and New Year’s Eve parties. We can accommodate groups up to 334 people, and have a custom-made dance floor with audio/video facilities for you to enjoy. For the sports lovers, we have plenty of HD televisions and a giant HD screen, so we’re always showing the game.

There is a seafood hot pot dish that arrives still bubbling. It was delicious. The cocktails are adventurous but a little pricey.

“What happened?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2011

Cantina used to serve great margaritas even the basic house margs were very good and not "watery".
The chips on the table were fresh and salsa tasty. The food was above average Mexican
fare. I hope that they can get back to those standards because it really is a lively fun environment and great location.

“Worst experience ever! Service is terrible!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2011

Food is not authentic, and SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! My worst experience ever! Waitress and manager were rude, defensive, and even discriminatory. Would never go back.

“Not worth it”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2011

We went there on recomendations from others on where to go for cheap. We were disappointed with just about everything. My margarita came in a cocktail glass and was terrible. Way to strong, and simply bad. And it was $12. Enchilada sauce tasted more like spaghetti sauce. We ordered chips and guacamole and that came out after our dinner and our drinks finally showed up when we were just about done with dinner.

In the end we paid $80 for two enchilada dinners, chips and guac, and two drinks, wishing we would have gone somewhere else

“The BEST Mexican food you'll ever eat! Great atmosphere too!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2011

Try the Molcajete... either one. The seafood malcajete was too daring for my tastes (I don't do octopus) but my friends loved it! The meat molcajete was to die for... a rare treat.
