Description: Cantina is a lively Mexican restaurant serving traditional and TexMex food in the Aspen area. Our menu offers everything from enchiladas, carnitas and carne asada to ceviche and wings. All of our food is fresh and prepared in-house daily, and we have daily specials that are always a favorite. We also have a fun happy hour atmosphere, with great drink and food specials. One of the most unique things about Cantina is that we serve our own infused tequila, and have the widest selection of tequila in the area. With the largest seating capacity of any restaurant in Aspen and with four distinct rooms, Cantina is a great place to host your event. We host everything from weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, college and employee events, to Superbowl and New Year’s Eve parties. We can accommodate groups up to 334 people, and have a custom-made dance floor with audio/video facilities for you to enjoy. For the sports lovers, we have plenty of HD televisions and a giant HD screen, so we’re always showing the game.

“The BEST Mexican food you'll ever eat! Great atmosphere too!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2011

Try the Molcajete... either one. The seafood malcajete was too daring for my tastes (I don't do octopus) but my friends loved it! The meat molcajete was to die for... a rare treat.

“Nice room, so-so food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2011

This is not the place to go if you're looking for authentic Mexican food and it's somewhat over-priced (this IS Aspen, after all), but it's a pretty room, with a large patio and friendly servers. All in all, a good alternative to five-star restaurants filled with A-list hangers-on.

“OK in a Pinch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2011

We found ourselves in one ( a pinch, that is) with a large party and they were able to accommodate us. Have eaten here a few times before, and mostly have been underwhelmed.

It is cheap, for Aspen. Some food selections are quite good, but the main burrito, enchilada, tex-mex fare is bland and has high heart-burn potential. If your in a pinch, have a lot of kids, or are dining on budget, this is an OK alternative. Under such circumstances, Little Annie's might be a better option.

“A great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2011

We came over X-Games weekend and saw that the entire town was packed. After being turned away at several places we came to the Cantina, the Host told us it would be a 20 minute wait, and it was!! We had a marg while waiting and were quickly shown to our seat. Their tequila list is extensive and the food menu is a great mix of traditional Mexican dishes and the new fusion food. I had a blast and found my money well spent!! I will be back again!
