“Tasty ribs!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2014

We were craving some BBQ and had this place recommended to us. A short 3 minute drive from town, but worth the trip. Tasty ribs and a fun place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Friendly servers as well!

“Truly the Best Ribs in Colorado ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2014

We are from North Carolina, a state famous for its delicious barbecue and ribs. So when we say this place is delicious, we aren't kidding! This is hands down the best restaurant in Aspen due to its convenience and quality of food and service. We ate here for dinner one night and breakfast another day. This is definitely a no-miss restaurant for anyone even passing through Aspen.

“Hickory House in Aspen! Disappointed!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

The Hickory House in Parker, CO is our very favorite place for ribs! The service is phenomenal, the ribs, fresh, hot and juicy every time. So, when we decided to go to Aspen we remembered that there is a Hickory House there and planned to eat there after our hike through the Maroon Bells.
We arrived at Hickory House about 12:45 on a Saturday. We were seated and given menus immediately. However, it was a full 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order and the only reason it happened was because the hostess asked if we'd had our order taken. Finally the waiter came by and took our order. Our food arrived 3.5 minutes later much to our delight. We soon figured out why...our ribs were almost charcoal on one side, dry and overdone. We figured they'd been sitting on the grill, forgotten. This was a huge disappointment for us although the fries, coleslaw and beans were ok, we probably won't eat there on our next trip to Aspen.
To sum it up, the waiter, a young man with an accent (Russian?), was in a hurry, impatient and semi-rude. He was chatting it up with the people behind us but could have cared less about us. He never came by to refill our iced tea. We had to ask for the bill and then it, again, took forever.

“Very good but not the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014

We enjoyed a very good meal in a site that is away from downtown. The ribs are good, the catfish is good, the sides were good, there was certainly nothing wrong with the meal including the fact it was all very reasonably priced. I would go back but I've also had better in other places.

“Lots of Food and Delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

My Protein plate had beef brisket, pulled pork and chicken breast along with a salad. I had enough food for two more meals.
