“Mixed feelings about this place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

I got a fabulous massage from Jennifer. Beforehand, my friend and I took a Yoga class with Courtney. I take yoga once a week and my friend was a beginner. There was only one other person in the class who was very accomplished. Once the class started it was clear that it was challenging and the instructor kept saying this was a Level 2 class. Clearly, she didn't want us there. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcomed when I asked her to demonstrate some of the poses. "We don't do that in this class," she said. She could have been more gracious. Instead, we left. Too bad. Used the equipment on the floor which as really good. Another friend liked the Zumba class and felt welcomed even though she was a beginner

“Fabulous massage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

My husband and I just spent a wonderful 5 days in Aspen and after 4 days of skiing my husband wanted a massage. Our hotel recommended the Aspen Club Spa and he had one of the best deep tissue massages he ever had from Jennifer. What the facility lacked in luxury, it made up in the treatment.

“A little tired”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

The Aspen Club & Spa is not what it used to be. We wish that the courts and facilities could be better maintained.

“Pleasant experience but slightly dated facilities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

I was able to visit the Spa as it is partnered with The Gant where I was staying with friends

It is accessed via a longish lane so transport is advisable (particularly if leaving in the dark)

The external appearance is somewhat inhospitable as it appears as a warehouse! - but don't be put off as it is far more welcoming inside!

The staff were great - and clearly did their best to make my experience as user friendly as possible - and I had a great massage with Anna

But overall it lacked "luxury" touches. The accommodation seemed a little dated; the towels were rather skimped and the usual "aromatherapy" scents which usually pervade such places werfe distinctly lacking. The showers were efficient but functional rather than luxurious - and whilst there was a steam room a sauna and a jacuzzi certainly the latter seemed rather "plastic". ANd whilstthr massageitself was excellent, it seems a cram was used rather thanaromatherapy oils - and the sheets etc on the couch seemed slightly on the old side as opposed to crisp and fresh

To be fair, I wasn't charged "top dollar" (a 50 minute massage was $99 on "special offer") but the facilities were surprisingly less luxuruious than those I have come to regard as "usual" in London

That said, I'm sure I will return on our next visit to Aspen

“Boxing at the Club”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2012

The Aspen Club is a great facility and provides easy access to a variety of group classes. The most recent addition to my routine is the new Boxing class. As a relatively petite girl, I was a little intimidated to take a boxing class with a bunch of boys, but it has become my new favorite activity!

The class is based on 1950's style Olympic boxing, which starts with rigorous plyometrics, then there are multiple rounds on the bags, and finally a repeat of the plyometrics. The class flies by and at the end I always feel more fit and stronger (and definitely sweaty!).

I highly recommend the Aspen Club & Spa and suggest that you try out the new Boxing Class.
