“On the Pier in Avila Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

In the early 90's, this place was super popular and the food was probably the best around. I've been their four or five times over the years and it might not be quite as good now, but it's still pretty darn good. I love the "No Work" Cioppino. No shells, no bibs, just a plenty of prawns, scallops, calamari and fresh fish. Yum! Sop up the delicious broth with their good bread and bring some wine. As I recall, there is no corkage fee for the first bottle or two. You don't find that around too often.

“Very Good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

This is a great restaurant at the end of the pier. I wish we could have been there during the day because I am sure the view would have been awesome. The atmosphere was very cozy though. I had the Greek Salad which was very good. And everyone else said their dinners were excellent too. Would definitely go again.

“Yes, drive out on the pier!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

This is a neat little restaurant on the pier that you can drive out on the pier to get close parking. If a local hadn't told me about that caveat, I wouldn't have ever thought to make the drive onto a wooden fishing pier. They have fresh seafood that is good. The atmosphere is cool with some tables that have viewing under the pier via a glass table top and mirrored "tube." Portions were large and co-worker said his cheesecake was the best he had ever had & I enjoyed the scallops the most on my fisherman's plate.

“Yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

Best crab cakes I have ever had. The sand dabs, potatoes, & veggies were out of this world. Our waiter, Neil, was the best as well as David (the host). Good job!!

“rehearsal dinner.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Our grandaughter was married a few weeks ago and this is where they held the rehearsal dinner. They did a fine job, the food was great and they treated us well. Neat place....drive out on a wooden pier, watch the ocean through a see-through on the table, also look out at it from your table. Very interesting.
