“Bike & Walking trail away from traffic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

I walk the trail from the Woodstone Marketplace.Going toward Hwy 101 it's about a mile to the first road, so it's a nice two mile walk. The other direction the trail passes the athletic club, a small hotel and some homes and the opens onto a paved road with occasional car & golf cart traffic plus walkers and bikers. It then goes along the edge of the golf course. From the Marketplace to the deli on the beach in Avila Beachj is about two miles, so a good four mile round trip. Good way to start the day.

“Nirvana!!!! Get there ASAP”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

The Avila Village Inn, where I stay is right on the trail...almost 2 miles to Avila village. It is pastoral, pristine, and beautiful. Some hills, so you work a little...the views as you approach the golf course and town are amazing. Never too hot. Rent or bring your bike, walk with a friend or your dog....this was heaven to me.

“Beautiful paved trail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

Liked the whole trail, wish it was longer!!! Very scenic and perfect for bike riding, running or walking. We rode a short distance from Avila and got off the trail near Gardens of Avila for lunch, rode further and found a wine tasting room.

“Crowded”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

It's a pretty trail, but it can get pretty crowded on the weekend. There is usually plenty of parking out at the trailhead on 101, though. There is a winery near the trailhead (I think it's Salisbury). It's located in an old schoolhouse, and pairs nicely with a leisurely day bike riding.
