“Family friendly Mexican”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Perfect place for a taco and beer after a day at the beach. The "eclectic" atmosphere and slightly more reasonable prices make this a good choice for families as well as Margarita lovers. Decent food, considering your a boat ride away from "the mainland."

“The place for Karaoke”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

If you like to sing karaoke, this is the place to be. They have it nightly and provide an extensive song list to choose from; however, they don't have a lot of the newest hits from the current popular artists. The service is excellent, and you don't ever feel as though you are being rushed or pressured to keep buying. Families are welcome and kids can stay until the kitchen closes since karaoke begins about 9 and kids are allowed until about 9:30-10, so they can hear you sing or even sing themselves in that time. After 10 I believe is the time, it becomes 21 and over.

“Another good place to eat in Avalon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

This restaurant is run by the same people who run Antonio's and about three other places in Avalon. The menus all had the same look and feel, although the offerings were different. We had Caesar salads with prawns (which were a bit overcooked for my tastes, but very tasty). The chicken strips appetizer was also a bit overcooked.
The atmosphere was sort of like being inside a ship, with big comfortable booths. Service was adequate, the bread was warm and fresh, and the prices reasonable for being such a tourist destination.

“Reliable standby”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

This place hasn't changed in decades, and probably never will. Drinks are great, especially the fruity ones, while the food is slightly better than average. Decor is outrageous.

“Good food and wonderful service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The hostess seated us immediatelt and Kaylee was our waitress. She was open and friendly and made us feel welcome and at home. The food choices are many (from burgers to pasta dishes to excellent aged steaks - with a price range for everyone.). Food was excellent and the Malibu Rum and Pineapple drinks were yummy. It's located on the main road in Catalina and you will be better off if you make a reservation ahead of time. It can get really busy in the summer.
