“Great Weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

Good place to stay when in Avalon. Centrally located and within walking distance of everything in town. Fronts on the beach. Great roof deck where you can watch the world go by. Rooms are small, but very confortable. We've been staying there for years.

Room Tip: Get a suite if you need want a larger room, but you'll pay for it.

Although some rooms small, it had a wonderful European feel including fresh pastries picked up daily from local bakery. The terrace wonderful, the staff very friendly including offering luggage storage and use of facilities until departure from island. Very clean.

This was an enjoyable hotel stay as my wife and I came here for our honeymoon. The service and staff were absolutely wonderful as they allowed us to check in when our room was ready. As checkout time is 11:00am and our boat didn't leave until 4 they allowed to hang out at the hotel and enjoy the sundeck.
It's a beautiful room with updated linens and they were courteous enough to provide us with a bottle of sparkling cider. If you get the opportunity to stay here then do so. They have wonderful deals, beautiful rooms, and are close to everything.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was small, but worked for us. We were given a bottle of wine with our reservation, and enjoying drinks out on the terrace/sundeck was fabulous! The location is great...walking distance to everything, but not right smack dab in the middle of the busy street, so the noise level stayed low. We would definitely return here!

Room Tip: Our room had a very partial view of ocean and was great. Some of the interior rooms may seem a bit...

Nice little room for the price and location, but the roof top deck complete with view of the Avalon Harbor made this hotel a spectacular choice for the weekend. We were a group of 6 couples and the deck provided a hang out place complete with views, lounges chairs for naps and room to enjoy happy hour and even take out dinner all together. This hotel is located at the far end, away from the crowd and noise of Avalon, but easy walking distance to everything. Rooms are small.

This was a perfect little room for a romantic get-a-way. Especially since we spent most of the day walking around town enjoying the day. The space was a bit small, but very comfortable for us. We enjoyed it very much. Especially the fact that there was a mini fridge for us to store our beverages and snacks, ect. The sun deck was nice, not exactly what we expected as it was very simple, but incredibly quaint like the rest of the hotel. Continental breakfast was ok. Nothing fancy, but the muffins were good. Lots of the reviews we read said the beds were a bit hard, but honestly, they were perfect for us. And larger than what we expected. The main reason we didn't give the hotel a 5 was because the shower was a bit cramped. Not quite big enough for two, and def not big enough for 2 and half, as we are expecting, lol. But outside of that, the location was perfect. Right between the Casino (which we loved and would recommend for a movie) and all of the restaurants. Steve's Steakhouse and Armstrong's were our favorite. We also enjoyed the Pancake House for breakfast. All of the staff and guests were incredibly friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our get-a-way. Highly recommended and we'd go back again.
