“An amazing experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Hotel staff was fabulous from check-in to check out. Room was clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable! We didn't want to leave! We will definitely be back!! The location of the hotel is perfect - close to shopping and the beautiful ocean. Continental breakfast every morning. It was a quiet, enjoyable and relaxing environment. We recommend the Pavillion Hotel to who ever wants to stay at an affordable hotel with a 5 star experience!!

We found the staff - especially Martin, Justin, and Rodrigo - very helpful, friendly, and courteous. They were good hosts at the front desk, at the breakfast buffet, and at the wine and cheese hour in the afternoons. The staff kept everything neat and clean. They were helpful in making restaurant reservations for us. We've stayed there 4 times and have never been disappointed. We will stay there again.

How can you not love the view, landscape, peacefull outside people watching seating!
If only the whole island would take pride of what they were gifted with.
Good job Roberto and thank you for your positive humble attitude .
I even had latte with my nice breackfast of great selection.
To tap it, they have a complimentary wine and cheese

The location, staff and amenities make this a fabulous choice. Location is right on the boardwalk, just steps to the beach and neighboring restaurants and shops.

Staff exceeded my expectations, friendly, and will go out of their way to assist you. Just one example is my husband and I missed their happy hour (complimentary wine and cheese) by about 15 minutes. Food and drink was already put away, so I asked if I could purchase a glass of wine. The server came back with two complimentary glasses of wine and a large cheese platter. And for her assistance she would not even accept a tip. Again at the complimentary continental breakfast the staff was readily available to assist guests. I found the bell staff and the front desk staff to be equally as accommodating. This hotel goes out of their way to hire and train the right individuals in order to offer exceptional service.

The room was adequate, keeping in mind the age of the hotels in Avalon. Don't expect a
five star property. The rooms have been refurbished nicely, but their age still shows. Sound proofing is not the best, bathrooms are no where near plush and beds are doubles not queens. Having said that, it was a decent room and met are needs.

There is no pool at this location, as with many hotels in Avalon. However, they have a wonderful grassy lounge area for relaxing and catching some sun. They also have a fantastic patio with tables, chairs, and sofas right on the boardwalk. You can enjoy the beautiful harbor views, people watch or just relax with a glass of wine. Additionally, the hotel offers changing rooms complete with showers, which is very handy if you are catching a late boat off the island.

I'll definitely stay at the Pavilion on my next visit to the island.

First time on the Island and I plan on going back and stay here. Loved it so much we extended our stay for a 3rd night. The beds are so comfy. We had a deluxe room on the ground floor and enjoyed sitting outside in the courtyard. We enjoyed the common areas for breakfast to sit outside and enjoy the sun. We really enjoyed the wine and cheese, great selection and the wine steward was very knowlegeable about the wines. Good selection of breakfast items. The best mango I have ever had. The breakfast attendant was available to make espresso or lattes. Great location to downtown and the pier. Overall a great experience. They offer to store your bags, turndown service w/chocolates, Starbuck's coffee in the room, a fire pit...I loved all the little extras.

Room Tip: no elevator, recommend the ground floor deluxe king room you get a lovely courtyard area

Recommend getting a ground superior w/patio (and with french doors out to patio). Rooms were less than expected for the price but hey, comfortable and clean. Best part of this property is the amazing location close to pier and on Crescent Street in addition to the complimentary breakfast and wine/cheese. Wines were of much higher quality than I expected and servers/atmosphere just perfect. I even forgot my battery charger plugged into the wall socket and they had it sent to my home within the week (no charge). Service truly can't be beat.

Very good hotel. Was recommended by a SoCal friend, and did not disapoint. comfortable room overlooking luxuriously landscaped, and appointed courtyard. Centrally located in the shopping district, and on the waterfront.

Room Tip: Because of hotel layout, all rooms seem to be equal.
