“The Ale House - a good all American restsurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

Fun to see the shiny vats of beer through the glass. I ordered grilled salmon fish tacos. They were very flavorful. One of my girlfriend's ordered the beer batter cod with get fish tacos and another ordered grilled cod tacos. Everyone was very satisfied including the 4" high Reuben sandwiches. Everything was very good including the sweet potato fries. Our waitress gave each of us our own bill and it was appreciated.

“worth the hassle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

very loud. usually crowded. parking is a mess.

All that said: the food is always excellent and the brews are top notch. I often see families with little kids here - can't remember if there is a childrens' menu, but they all seem happy! The reason it's so crowded is because it's worth going to...

“darn fine IPA!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

my friend and i stopped on our way up to Lake Tahoe and i'm really glad we did. the back of the bar is filled with growlers from around the world so it's fun to look at. the customers at the bar were very entertaining and the beer was darn good. i had tastes of several options but the Gold Digger IPA was by far the best of what i tried!

we didn't have any food but the restaurant was busy at 3pm on a Friday afternoon. that has to be a good sign...

“Great night out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

I've been to this place several times. Always busy but we always get a table. We usually have to hang at the bar for a bit, but who cares when the beers are so good!? Food is always great, great service, fun atmosphere.

“Excellent service but the music was too loud to carry on a conversation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

The cobb salad was good except for the dressing which was a little runny. Corn bread with jalapeno butter was excellent. My spouse had the pasta special which he really enjoyed. The coffee was hot and strong.

our server was attentive and helpful. My only complaint was the music which was too loud to even carry on a conversation.... I would definitely try this restaurant again
