“Hard to tell who likes it more, me or my kids.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2011

This place is too cool. Loved the all the types of planes SR71 Blackbird right in the parking lot, that says it all. I would say the price is reasonable but that is an understatement. They have an open cockpit day where you can go into some of the plane with pilots who actually flew the planes. Highly recommended for an afternoon of fun. Usually not busy except special days so no lines to make you feel like cattle. And try the cafe its a great grease pit.

“Great work”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2011

Thousands of hours donated to create a fantastic display of aircraft. We were at the opening ( too many years ago to admit) and it always is a treat. The weather here allows the birds to remain in good condition year round.

Planes Planes and more Planes. Well worth the money. What a wonderful museum representing our Militarys old planes. It really is a must see. Very interesting.

“Superb museum full of jems”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2010

We specifically stopped here travelling between San Francisco and Yosemite having found this place online. Both of us are aircraft enthusiasts and I came across the museum when looking at where blackbirds had ended up.

On arrival it looked like the place was smaller than expected given the collection listed, however the collection carried on and on. The Convair RB-36H Peacemaker is impressive especially when you look inside and realise the tunnel the crew would climb through along the length of the plane.

An additional fun bit to our trip was a film crew who on return to the UK we discovered were covering a open cockpit day the museum was holding a few days later. At the beginning of the online clip we were seen wandering round the museum.
