Just came back from weekend at Oak Hill Manor. This was my first B&B experience and after our stay, it will definitely not be the last. We were there for my son's graduation from Cal Poly. As is the case, San Luis Obispo was totally booked months in advance due to graduation that weekend. This turned out well as we had to look for different options. Fortunately, I came across the Oak Hill Manor. I was very pleased with the accomodations, the surrounding scenery and the friendly innkeepers, Rise & Maurice. It was close to the freeway, but you could not tell as it was very quiet. They have it nicely landscaped with plenty of chairs and tables around the place to just enjoy reading a book or eating their wonderful breakfast. The room was just plain fantastic. We had the Florentine Suite which was a large suite with two queen beds. Two separate doors to the outdoor area. Before leaving, Rise gave us a tour of the other suites and they were fantastic as well. Very clean and very comfortable. Another plus was that it was very close to San Luis Obispo; just less than 15 minutes away. We hope to go back to enjoy some of the many many wineries and will defnitely call upon Oak Hill Manor again.

My husband and I wanted to visit the central coast and decided to stay in Atascadero since it was half-way between SLO and Paso Robles. The Oak Hill Manor is a jewel that we are fortunate to have found. We stayed in the Athenian Suite which was superbly decorated, and had its own patio and fireplace. Even robes! Every detail had been carefully orchestrated. The rate included breakfast, afternoon wine & appetizers, complimentary bottled water and coffee. Our hosts, Maurice and Rise, were wonderful and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. We would recommend this B&B to anyone planning a trip to the wine country. It is very convenient to everything, quiet and peaceful when its time to relax.

Just got back from a wonderful weekend centered around the Paso Robles Wine Festival. We love this b&b. This year, we met the actual owners, Maurice & Rise; very lovely couple. Stayed in the Alpine suite again (have already booked again for next year). The property is even lovelier than last year; the owners are even putting in a little putting green now. Wonderful, gourmet breakfasts with homemade scones & croissants, a wonderful omelette one day, a scrumptious quiche the next. We highly recommend this for a romantic stay in wine country!

We stayed two nights at this b&b. Jane & George were the guest innkeepers for the weekend. They were very nice. Jane is a wonderful cook & George is a great host!! We were very impressed with the breakfasts & wanted more. :)

The room was very nice & bed was very cozy. The shower/tub is a bit awkward to get into but it very big. Loved the robes in the room too. The nighttime bed turn down with note & chocolates are a nice treat. There were some great magazines & books in the room too that we found informative.

Highly recommend

We opted to stay in the luxurious Alpine Suite for one night in June. I can tell you that our expectations were high after hours of driving. From the moment of our arrival, any doubts we had disappeared into the fragrant, warm air.

Jane and George, the 'sitting' innkeepers that weekend (whilst the owners were away) greeted us with sunny dispositions and wonderful hospitality. We were treated to cheese and wine with fresh artichokes as a free appetiser. They gave us the inside track on all the great local places to eat. Later, we found chocolates in our room and freshly 'turned' bedsheets. Next day, their breakfast shone too, with chocolate zuccini bread zinging our palates.

The Alpine Suite itself is a wonderful place for a loving couple to chill out. Massive, comfortable sleigh bed, 2 way fire place and jacuzzi with candles soothed our minds and bodies. Step outside the room and you have a commanding, peaceful view of the stars.

If you fantasize about a blissful, get away from it all romantic spot, with its own individual twist (away from corporate hotel land) then you'd be advised to check out Oak Hill manor if you can stretch out your budget. Quality.
