Delicious, large portions and very attentive waiters. My daughter age 22, son age 12 and myself, age 55 had a late lunch yesterday at Toshi's. The menu has plates for lunch with prices $7.00 to about $9.00 max. The plates include a large amount of white rice, and the choice of chicken, beef, shrimp, etc. They do not include soup or the little pickled cabbage salad most Japanese restaurants serve. I think the amount of food on the plates though was really generous. We had Kashi breaded shrimp, Kashi chicken, chicken curry, and chicken teriaki. We also ordered a California Roll plate which was only $4.00 and included about 10 rolls. They were great. My son had never had them and actually loved the CA rolls. They also have many sauces you can request -- spicy mayo., teriaki, sesami, and more. The restaurant is small but has enough tables, a large sushi bar, nice lighting, and also some small outside tables as well. We all had the green tea ice cream for desert and t he portion size was large. It was topped with some whipped cream and some dark chocolate for $4.00 each. The green tea was served in your own pottery pot and was good & not bitter. Toshi's is a great addition to the up & coming downtown Colony area. It is 1 block north of the Carlton Hotel on El Camino Real. I could not find a URL for the restaurant. There is another Toshi's in San Luis Obispo, 25 miles south of Atascadero on Route 101.
