“Nice hotel ear I101”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

We stayed at the hotel in a room on the 2nd floor. It is a large room with a 32" TV, a little bit small for the size of the room. The bathroom is neat and there is only a shower, but we liked it because you don't have to stand in the bath to shower. You can hear the neighbors of the rooms next to you talk because of the thin walls. It reminded me of the cheap @ss hotels in Miami :-). Staff is very friendly and breakfast is OK.

Room Tip: Take a room on the top floor that saves you the noise of the rooms above you

Our family made a last minute trip to Arroyo Grande for a memorial and wanted to stay close by. With the Taste of the Central Coast going, there wasn't a lot available. We managed to get two suites, one King and one ADA two Queens with a couch beds which accommodated 5 adults and two small children nicely. This is a fairly new property, 2 years old. The service was friendly and the rooms surprisingly large and comfortable. The breakfast was good for "free." We would recommend this for anyone who needs a place to stay, especially with a family, on this part of the central coast. The only downside is its close the freeway with some freeway noise.

I have to preface this review by saying that the hotels in the Pismo Beach area are very expensive for the star rating. Last year we stayed at the Holiday Inn and paid around $165 for 1 night and the hotel was pretty crappy. Hampton Inn was close to $200 a might but much better, so worth the extra. The room was nice and spacious with 2 queen size beds. Nice fluffy pillows and a down duvet. They make a big deal about the fact that they have gone to duvets, instead of sheets, blankets and bedspreads - I will not stay in any hotel with a bedspread because they never gets washed. Great bathroom, modern and clean with plenty of towels. Complimentary wifi and breakfast. The breakfast was decent, with usual selection of eggs, sausage, waffles! Bagels, etc. Front desk service very friendly and efficient. I will definitely come back.

stayed in this hotel on our way north to SF bay. The hotel represented great value; free internet in the rooms and lobby, free good quality breakfast that the kids really enjoyed. Check in and out staff were friendly. I recommend the hotel for people on their way up / down the coast or 101 HWY.

Pull out bed was terrible! Room was too cold and we were unable to turn up the heat because of the burning smell from the heater. Staff was pleasant but NOT helpful. Room too small to be a suite! Located on the free way and very loud!

We stayed here with our beagle, and two kids for the weekend. Check in and out was efficient. Property and rooms were clean. Location was good next to food and shopping. a few minutes from Grover and Pismo beaches, and easy access to the freeway (101). Room was decent size, we were able to fit pack n play in between two queen beds and the dog bed on the other side.

During our travels through California this last month, we stayed at a variety of hotels,(Best Western, Quality Inn, ect.) Our two nights at the Hampton Inn in Arroyo Grande was the worst. They seem to force on the fact that we get clean bedding for our stay, no fan in the bathroom, the room was extremely warm, even with the air on, and this was the only hotel that did not have a little fridge or microwave in the room. The pool towels were clearly old and very very small. We paid more per night at the Hampton Inn than any other hotel in California. Note to self....Hampton Inn is not on our list of hotels any more. People, check out the Best Western down the road, I heard it is nicer and more reasonable prices.

Room Tip: go to next hotel
