“Resort at the Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This is a great family resort right on the cliffs at Seascape Beach. The units are very roomy and nicely decorated and really can accommodate a large group. The pools are beautiful and there are three perfectly located in each of the complexes that comprises the resort. We have stayed here often and we will be back. It's a home away from home.

Came here as part of a conference for 3 days.

Conference facilities were standard. Nice ocean views from the conference rooms.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom villa on the south side of the complex. The place was clean and comfortable. As others have mentioned, a little dated though. The wicker furniture feels a little 1990s-ish. That being said there was a full kitchen with all the equipment for those staying longer. There's even an electric BBQ on the patio. We saw 3 deer off our balcony while watching the sunset. Beautiful.

I went to one of my friends 1 bedroom suites in the main building that had been renovated. No ocean view but the place had been revamped. New furniture and carpet. Much more modern.

From talking to people, sounds like the layout of this place is very different from unit to unit. Apparently they are all individually owned residences that are rented out through the Seascape resort. Kind of like a time share but not really.

Anyhow, restaurant was good. Good wine list.

We had smore on the beach with the firepits that the resort set up. Really fun!

Will definitely come back for a weekend getaway at some point.

Room Tip: Main building had some renovated rooms.

We had almost 200 attendees for a 4 day WorldWide Sales Conference. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and personable. The food was outstanding and the rooms are almost too good to be true!

This was for business, but I'll go back for pleasure!

Room Tip: They are ALL Good rooms

This resort is in a great location and has beautiful views of the beach and bay.... Nice to sit on the balcony and hear the crashing waves below. The rooms (suites actually) are well appointed, clean and comfortable. That said they are also dated and could do with an update. Service is good and the food in the restaurant is decent but a little pricey. Was sunny and warm when we were there so no complaints about the weather. The rooms only have heat no A/C but you really don't need A/C and if things do get a little warm they have fans in the rooms that take care of it..... and seriously that's all you'll need. I would recommend but go with an open mind and expect to find the rooms dated but very clean! One more thing- rooms could do with better pillow options all they have is foam, no feather pillows which many prefer.

The Seascape is actually a collection of individually-owned condos managed as a hotel. We had been there two years ago and really liked it, so we went back. The unit we had rented on the third floor the last time we were there was available, so we were able to get it.

The place is really beautiful. We had a lovely ocean view, and the weather was perfect - no fog until the day we left, and temperatures in the 80's. Note: this is unusual weather for the area, so don't be upset if you do get some fog.

They have an exceptional deal for people over 60 - 20% off the room rate and off the restaurant attached to the property. You also get free WiFi and free access to the health club up the street, which has virtually everything - weights, machines, tennis courts, lap pool, an. They also have some really nice staff people.

The bar at the Seascape is spacious and the staff is friendly. There is outdoor seating around a fire pit which is a great end to the day - grab a glass of wine and sit around the fire pit while reflecting on your day.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's really a fun getaway and a bargain.

Room Tip: Get a room on the third (top) floor. There are elevators and luggage carts, so you won't have t...

We hosted a business event at Seascape last week, and guests also spent the night. The meeting rooms and logistics of the meeting were handled beautifully, and our food service throughout the two day event was great. The rooms are huge and well appointed, all of our guests were sad we couldn't stay longer to enjoy the beautiful property and beach. On prior trips, we've also enjoyed a beach bonfire with s'mores, one of the many really special things Seascape does really well.

Nice place, but some surprising gaps. When I checked in at 1pm, I was kept waiting for the next available room for more than 1 hour. I asked several times if anything had opened. Finally I pressed hard and they thumbed through any number of clearly available rooms. Clearly they just didn't want to swap anyone.

And the bedding us motel 6 quality at best.

Overall good, but really?
