“Fabulous, restful bed and breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2010

We stayed here on our way to ski in Bear Valley. The hosts are warm and welcoming and the food is the best. Breakfast is usually served at 8:30, but the owners were quite willing to get up early to serve it at 7:30 so we could be on the slopes first thing. The dessert after dinner was a special treat.

We've been here twice. The first was for a quiet anniversary weekend. We had a such a great time, we brought our kids back for a little break before the new year. You can expect WONDERFUL breakfast, yummy appetizers and delicious desserts. Rob and Tey are fantastic hosts. You will NOT be disappointed. We're already planning our next trip!

I swore off B&B's years ago, but now I am a fan again. I spent a wonderful evening at the cooper house that felt like days of rest and relaxation. Tey treated us to the most amazing breakfast Ive ever had. What a find. I will never stay anywhere else again when in the area. I am planning to return with friends and family often. Head in to Angels camp and get ready for pampering, peaceful sleep, and gormet dinning.

We loved our stay. Our hosts made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were beyond great. The house is quiet and, as my husband put it, "Everything a bed and breakfast should be" with interesting books, antiques etc in the living room, wine to sample, and even great desserts served in the evening. The beds were very comfortable, with very good quality linens and comforters.

This is one of the few B&B's we found with accommodations for young children--our room had a small sitting room with two very nice twin beds.

Cooper House is within a half block of Angel Camp's main street, so there are interesting places in walking distance. Tey and Rob say they are relative newcomers to the area, but seem to have quite an extensive knowledge of things to do.

We will be back!

We had a great stay at the Cooper House in Angels Camp back in early September. Tey and Rob were fabulous hosts! We really enjoyed sitting around talking with them and the other guests. Breakfasts were huge and well prepared! Make sure you try Tey's baked eggs! Tey was very helpful on the phone before we arrived, with suggestions for restaurants and area attractions. We're already planning a return trip! Thanks, guys!

I went to Angels Camp to relax and get away from the hectic Bay Area and thats what i got. The Cooperhouse was the best choice I could have made. The hosts (Tey and Rob) were a real pleasure. There was a great glass of wine with a great chesse platter awaiting me when i checked in .Then later that night freshly baked chocolate chip and pecan cookies with coffee(something I rarely bake for myself)with such a hectic life. But the Breakfast was the BEST, fresh cinninan french toast, smoothered in maple syrup with pecans, bacon, fresh sqeezed oj and gourmet coffee,What a way to start the day.It was SUPERB.The Hosts were always there when I needed something but otherwise were not around so i was able to really relax. There is alot of things to see in the area and Tey really knew where to send me, The town of Murphy's was great and there are alot of great sights to see in the area.I cant wait to go back...

Cooper House has got to be the best B&B in California! Tey and Robert are absolutely wonderful hosts! Their home is so nice and inviting. We got to lounge and visit in the living room each morning, enjoying coffee and the newspaper before breakfast. In the evening, we sat on the front porch and enjoyed the beautiful garden view along with wine and beer from the open wine bar! What more could we ask for!
Breakfast was beyond our wildest expectations! The baked eggs and the frittata are to die for, and Tey was gracious enough to share the recipe! After wine tasting all day, we had excellent late afternoon appetizers, and then to top it all off, a late night dessert of coconut cream pie! We were so spoiled! It is hard to come back to the real world! Our room was lovely, with a comfy bed and plush robes. We would definitely recommend this B&B, and as a matter of fact, have done so to all of our friends. We are already planning our next trip back!!
