“Great hotel near all attractions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012

I would most definitely stay here again. If you want everything in walking distance don't stay here. If you want a great, new, clean hotel room that won't break the bank then this is your place. The one bedrooms are great for parents traveling with kids, couples or friends traveling together. The seperate bedroom has a good size closest and a chest of drawers. There is also a nice new flat screen tv. There is a pull out couch that sleeps two in the living area. There is a large screen tv and an extra chair. There is an entire work space as well. If you need to work while you are here it has everything and is very comfortable. The bathrooms are the basic tub shower combination. Popcorn is served at night and there is coffee 24 hours. They also have a breakfast menu card that you fill out, with a time to be served and it will be waiting in the lobby for you at your specified time. It is not expensive. There is not an on site restaurant but Denny's is walking distance. There are many more restaurants in an area called Anaheim walk? They have a shuttle to and from disney every hour. It is $4 for adults. Since parking is free at the hotel I suggest parking there and taking the shuttle to Disney There is some items for sale in the lobby, necessities and a few gift items. The pool is at the end of the main building. It is small and not very scenic but it works. There are two buildings and they both look new. There is another level of rooms that are studios but I did not see the layout. They may have two bedrooms and adjoining rooms. All in all this is a great little hotel. One last thing., it's right next to Angel stadium.

Perfect location for a trip to the ball game! Cut across their parking lot & cross the street, walk past the Grove theater, and you're at the ballpark. That parking lot has several inexpensive places to buy a supper you can carry into the stadium. There are also a couple of sports bar & grill places across the street. The staff at the hotel was most cheerful and helpful even though the place was mobbed with families on vacation. Free coffee in the lobby. Helpful painted wall map with magnets showing the location of anything in the area you might need. The brown bag breakfast you select the night before and pick up at your selected time the next morning was convenient to eat in your kitchenette, or take "to go". OJ was a 12 oz bottle of fresh-squeezed Tropicana! Or there's a Denny's sharing the parking lot if you need a hot breakfast. Our room was fine, clean. Our bathroom had only a pedestal sink and a small counter, so not much space for toiletries, but we were given a "handicap" room for some reason so perhaps the other rooms' bathrooms have more sink space.

The hotel was excellent... Just the right size .. We had 2 volleyball teams with lots of family members too!

Front desk very accomodating! Friendly and helpful staff!

Breakfast was more than enough, the hot cocoa/coffee throughout the day was a nice amenity.

Starbucks, dennys, McDonald's are just a few of the nearby places to eat. (within walking distance).

Could not hear the train at night that some people were mentioning.

TPS Anaheim is super convienient and just across the street from Angels Stadium. Its great to catch a game after a long day (Angels havent been too good lately so tickets always easy). I travel here on business and its so convienient with the kitchenette to just make a quick breakfast in the room. Clean rooms and great staff who always remember and take care of me. I kinda find it refreshing too to not be surrounded by all cranky business men but also the kids who are super excited and ready to go see Mickey. Great little Mexican restaurant just across the parking lot and an upscale place for happy hour within 100 yards too.

Upon first glance, the Marriott Town Suites in Anaheim seems like a typical Marriott property. Clean property, well maintained and nicely furnished. The front counter staff is pleasant and courteous. However, upon closer inspection, the property is suffering from gradual disrepair. The unit we stayed in was chock full of issues. The biggest and probably the deadliest was the loose light switch in the bathroom. I received a shock strong enough to stun me for a second. I can't imagine what would have happened if my young daughter tried to turn off the switch instead of me. Front desk apologized with a smile and said maintenance would take care of it. I guess if I was still standing, it couldn't have been that bad.
The carpet was filthy. Our socks were black from walking round the room. We found water bottles, packaging and other stuff in the room from the previous occupants. We also discovered that the pull out soft bed linen was not changed. It was dirty, smelled and had hair all over it. Bad stuff. The light fixture above the work station was broken and did not turn on. The bathroom grout was full of mildew and hard water stains. The door to the building was broken so you did not need your card to open it. The grill at the pool needed maintenance. The knobs were stripped so that you couldn't turn on the grill without a pair of pliers.
This property has a take and go breakfast. You put your choices and amounts down on an order sheet and it will be ready for pick up at your designated time. We tried it twice, once early in the morning with no problems and once during the rush period of 8:00 am -8:30 am. One overworked staff member who was frazzled and complained that her partner did not come in, tried her best. Between low food supply, long lines and an order consisting of a grocery list, she was done. Forget courtesy, she just needed to get the orders out as the line grew longer. Other staff members calling their co workers out for their lack of sensibility was observed. They clearly needed additional staffing for the property. This is definitely not one of Marriott's better properties. Not sure where Town Suites is on the Marriott's hierarchy but I would assume this is considered their budget line based on personal observations.

Room Tip: The rail runs next to the property. Get a room away from the pool and railway.

Thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay while visiting the Anaheim area. We were delighted to read that you encountered a pleasant and courteous staff. Although we are truly sorry for the inconveniences you encountered in your room and with the grab n’go breakfast. The hotel does maintain a high level of housekeeping policies and procedures, including a preventative maintenance program to keep the hotel and its fittings in first-rate working order. However, we really appreciate your feedback and all matters will be examined closer as our ultimate desire is to provide an enjoyable experience for all our current and future guests. We hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you again in the future and happily remain at your service.

I travel on business to the Anaheim area and prefer this hotel for price, location, and convenience. The studio arrangement with kitchenette is great for cooking a meal or keeping your own juices and snacks. You can stock the fridge at one of the grocery stores on State College Avenue. The staff are always helpful. Whenever I've had a problem, they have always been very responsive. Parking is free, and there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance or a short drive. The Disney shuttle stops in the parking lot if you are heading to the park.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms were spacious and clean with a well equipped kitchen which really helped us save on food costs. The breakfasts were OK (they take your order the night before and then place your selections in a sack to take back to your room). Nice pool and small but adequate workout room (a stairmaster, reclining bike, and treadmill). The hotel is very clean and the staff very courteous with excellent customer service. Would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.
