It's a Disney hotel. It's very retro at some parts, but clean all around. I love the little Disney touches inside the room (headboards, carpeting, etc.). We got a great view of the park. The park! We came back from park-hopping for some wine break, and waited for the fireworks, but the girls and I got antsy to go back to the park again, so we only saw a few sparks. We got a better glimpse when we were riding the monorail, which was a few steps away. Not as convenient as the Grand California, but still a good way to enjoy the parks at all times of the day. If you could spring it, pay extra to get the full Disney experience, and book a Disney hotel. If not just for the sheer convenience of it all.
We self-parked, which was right in front of the hotel. A good walk when it's busy, but at least you don't have to dodge oncoming cars.
