We stayed here in June/July and absolutely loved it. Magical to me. Will stay here when we come back with grandchildren in a few years time. Want a special princess room for them!! Love the fact that you can get early admissions to the parks every day.

I stayed at DLH for three nights due to a conference at Disney resort. There was actually nothing wrong with the hotel, but I strongly feel that the hotel did not match the expectation of being "the place to stay" for a Disney visit.

Getting to DLH from LAX is quite expensive if you take a taxi (100 USD), so do take the shuttle service the hotel recommends in their confirmation email.

Check-in was uneventful and everything was as requested in the room and with the rates. Hotel staff was polite and helpful, my room was clean, wireless worked sufficiently and the beds were comfortable. Yet, nothing fancy. I might as well have stayed at any national hotel chain facilities that are spread around the Disney resort and saved a few bucks for the company.

Only one minor annoying issues was with the tv. Once you click on the tv you will need to click through almost 10 Disney commercial channels before you the the local news and cable.

The area itself has an excellent access to the conference facilities, the Disney main street has huge amount of restaurants and stores to keep you busy (and well fed) and the pool area is large enough for the hotel guest to find a good spot to enjoy the sun or the pool.

The best service however, was by far provided by the friendly professionals who worked the night shift at the reception. Really customer service oriented and friendly, which I greatly needed while fighting the jet-lag after flying from across the planet for the conference.

Next time I will try the Great Californian down the Disney street. The place had way better atmosphere when I visited the place a few times during my brief stay.

Stayed 2 nights 8-12 / 8-13 while in CA for a wedding in San Diego. Decided to make a 9 day vacation out of this trip and had promised my granddaughter we would drive up to Disney for a couple of days after the wedding. The Disneyland Hotel was expensive but so worth the money. I wished we had stayed and extra day. Walking distance to parks and right outside of Down Town Disney which has great dinning and shopping. The rooms were newly remodeled and in great condition. My granddaughter loved the light up headboard and music. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Pool and waterslides were awesome.

We go to Disneyland at least once year. We have stayed at various hotels in the area. This was our first stay at the Disneyland Hotel. The room was small, but for the three of us, was fine for a few days. The staff at the bell desk was extremely rude every time we had an interaction with them. The housekeeping and room service staff were extremely efficient and pleasant, however. The rest of the staff was certainly not friendly, but they weren't rude. My daughter (7 years old) LOVED the pool. The proximity of the hotel to the front entrance gates is no closer than, and possibly further than, some of the off-resort hotels. The hotel is not very "Disney", surprisingly enough. It doesn't have the feel of the parks. It is very clean, though. All-in-all it was not a terrible experience, by any means. But we have had many other hotels in the area give us just as much for less money.

We spent 5 nights in the Disneyland Hotel in early July, 2012. While I do understand that the cost has more to do with the entire "Disney experience" than the hotel room itself, I do feel that costwise we definitely didn't get our money's worth.

We have gone to Disneyland five times in the last six years, and we have always stayed somewhere on property. This is the third time we've stayed at the DLH and the last time we were there was prior to the renovations to the pool area.

Don't get me wrong, there were definite pluses. The newly renovated pool area is great - my kids really enjoyed the new slides and the pool itself. This was the first time we've ever really been lured into swimming while at a Disney resort hotel - after all, we're coming from Hawaii. We can swim at the beach anytime! The pool experience was great, and I especially liked that life vests are available in all sizes for the little ones.

The hotel room itself was ok. Definitely on the small side, we had a hard time opening up all our suitcases because there wasn't enough room to keep them open. Came with two double beds and a sofa bed, the sofa bed looked a little dirty. The best thing about the room was the headboard - plays music while little lights twinkle around the board, you can turn it on and it shuts off automatically after a short while. Was nice to fall asleep to.

The cleaning of the room left much to be desired. One day the toilet was left obviously uncleaned, on another day we found crumbs on the sheets under the comforter, and the worst was the day before we left, when we found the actual bottle of cleaning spray sitting on our bathroom counter, which by the way had been left uncleaned!!! We also had to call daily to get refills of our complimentary coffee. Each morning we would make two cups of coffee, each day the cups weren't washed and we'd need to request clean cups and new coffee packets. This should be standard, not something we need to ask for.

Since we've stayed before we obviously knew all about the distance from the hotel to the theme park, but that's another thing to consider when planning to stay here. It's definitely a good half mile at LEAST before you hit the entrance of the park. Or, you can walk to the monorail entrance which takes you into Tomorrowland, but that's also a pretty long walk.

Given the price we paid for the room, it just wasn't worth it. From now on we'll be staying off property, because there are some great hotels that are just as close or perhaps even closer right across the street.

My husband was attending a conference at the Disneyland Hotel so I joined him for a few days. The rooms were spacious, the bathroom nice size and great in room amenities. Considering the age of the hotel, it was nicely kept up and appeared to be recently renovated. The only complaints we had were the extraordinary prices for food ( captive audience ) and the cement drilling that I listened to for a couple days. It was so annoying that I couldn't be in the room during the day, nor ake a nap. It was hot out so this was a big inconvienence. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable too, I usually miss my sleep number bed, but this was just as comfortable!! We also had a great view of the fireworks every night out our window.

We spent 4 nights in Disneyland Hotel. It was amazing!!! We checked in 3 hours early and the room was prepared.
The hotel staff from the time we checked in was extremly friendly, helpful and fullfilled all of the request we had. (Stephaine)
The housekeeping did a great job in our rooms. The room are slightly larger than a normal size hotel room with beautiful headboards & plays a short tune. We had a view of downtown Disney and could see some of California adventure. Nice at night!
The bathrooms are very good size. Toilet in seperate area. Water preasure in the shower was GREAT :)
We paid extra for the concerege / snack service on the 11th floor.
We had turn down service in the evening. You can borrow movies for the kids, games and the snacks in the room were extremly good. Hot food also in the evening. A nice plus is that you can see the fire works in this room with the music. This was great on the night when my husband and I were to tired to go to main street.
Pool area is great. There are lifeguards everywhere and the pool area is clean. Staff is very attentive. (Drinks & food & towles)
The hotel offers a few short classes like washcloth origami, fast walking and other things that the kids can do. This was pretty fun!
The overall price of the hotel can be very expensive but it was our anniversary so we decided to splurge. ($700.00 a night with tax & everything) This is a once or twice in a life time stay.)

The only bummer part was the concerge could not get us in to the restaurant "Carethy" which is new in California Adventure on Friday night. so we went to Downtown Disney for dinner.
