“Fantastic stay for Disneyland vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

My wife, young son, and I stayed at the Ramada Plaza in order to visit Disneyland and California Adventure which are walking distance away. While both parks impressed us, both my wife and I came away from this vacation very impressed with everything that the Ramada had to offer. The room was clean, very nice, and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to see to our satisfaction. The complimentary breakfasts were very good and filling (and saved us more than a few dollars eating at the parks).

Any family hoping to have a great trip to Disneyland/California Adventure should consider the Ramada Plaza as it is a fantastic hotel at a very, very affordable price. It is a short walk to the parks (10-15 minutes), they allow us to leave our car in their parking lot for the duration of our trip (even for several hours after we checked out), and the staff and amenities make for a very relaxing place to stay.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the back get a view of the fireworks from Disneyland. The curtains are thick enough to...

I researched lots of hotels prior to choosing this one and I was not disappointed. We used this hotel as our base for Anaheim and our travels thru Los Angeles and San Diego (Eg. Seaworld, Legoland,Universal, Hollywood..). The location is great, 15 min easy stroll to Disneyland/downtown Disney with a one yr old in a stroller and next door to restaurants, shops and bus stop right outside hotel (great for tour buses). Walking to Disney saved us time and money as no having to wait in line for shuttle buses meant we could get there when we wanted to not when the shuttle bus was scheduled. While this is not a 5 star hotel it is still a really very good hotel in every way. This hotel had the whole package, free hot breakfast, great free wifi, free parking, fridge, room safe, microwave, view of fireworks from our window, heated pool and the rooms were so clean, comfortable and a good size, the location practical. The hotel offers a clothes washing service but like most hotels this is pricey but at least two coin operated washing machines and driers are available as another alternative which is cheaper if you need clean clothes. We stayed two weeks so using the laundry while still not as cheap as would be washing at home was a good option. We washed while we swam in the pool in the evenings so we could utilise our time better. Our room was on the third floor, there was some noise from people on the floor above us but this was minor. Our room faced the pool and carpark but noise wasn't a problem. We did not use the air conditioner so we could not say if it was noisy. The water pressure for our showers/ baths was very good and had no problems. The lobby is beautiful and while not a brand new hotel it is very clean and well looked after. The rooms are much nicer than the photos might show. Breakfast was good but we didn't eat dinner at the restaurant, mainly because with 3 small children indian food doesn't agree with them. The kids loved the pool and the Disney channels in our room and lobby. I believe there is no kids club which is fine with us as we never use them and prefer to spend all our time together with our children, but it might be an idea to check if it's your thing. What really makes this hotel even better is that everyone at the hotel is genuinly friendly and helpful. From the cleaners who do a great job to the manager. We arrived early and were given a room straight away as well as late checkout, even holding our luggage safely after we checked out so we could still enjoy the rest of the day before catching the late long flight home. Bernardo at the desk is very knowledgable and had some good advice. The knight in shinning armour was Arthur- he was so nice and helped us when we needed it, he was so professional and made our family (as well as others) feel special and nothing was a problem. Our experience at the hotel was a positive one and I have recommended this hotel to my families and friends and if we are able to holiday in anaheim again we will stay here again.

Room Tip: For a quiet area choose rooms away from the elevator and up high with a view of the Disneyland firew...

Very conveniently located, about 15 minutes from entrance to parks. Rooms were quiet and comfortable, although the bed mattresses were way too firm. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was outstanding, much more than the typical "freebies".

We stayed at this hotel in October and since it had been years since we visited Disneyland I looked at dozens of hotels in the area. The location was excellent, short walking distance to parks, several restaurants and shopping mall. The lobby was beautiful and the rooms were very nice, we were very impressed with this hotel and they price was excellent. The breakfast was very good, with a large variety of hot foods, cereals and fruit. The manager Arthur was so pleasant and helpful, he personally goes from table to table in the breakfast room inquiring about your stay and asking if you need anything. We were also able to purchase our park tickets for less than we would if purchased at the parks! The front desk personnel were professional and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Disneyland/California Adventures.

We arrived early and had to wait a little bit for our room, but ARTHUR whom I suppose was the Manager made sure that we had everything we needed to relax while waiting.. Fresh cookies and cartoon for the kids.. After 20 minutes we sent our 5 yr old to the counter to ask if our room was ready and sure enough, it was. The receptionist said she was weak to her cuteness but I'm sure we were just lucky.. The hotel is close to everything you need such as Pizza, Chinese , Mexican food and beer, wine and Souvenirs. Each day we saw ARTHUR and he made sure we were ok and asked if we needed anything. We had a very pleasant experience here and would consider staying again but Disney Ain't cheap .. Oh and the walk wasn't that bad at all . 15 min tops .. to parks . There are closer Hotels but we wanted an included breakfast and a fridge and a microwave in our room. So that's why we chose Ramada Plaza. All the boxes were checked !!!

spent 4 nights here, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Room was clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. The beds were extremely comfortable. I liked the secure underground parking. The free breakfast was phenominal. Not a skimpy doughnut, but a full breakfast with eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault. The hotel is walking distance to Disneyland and close to major highways, making other california attractions easy to get to. A real 5 star hotel in my opinion

Room Tip: I would make sure to ask for a room facing Disneyland, if you want to see the fireworks each night
