“Nice property”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

This is part of the Shell Vacation Club that is now owned by Wyndham. We traded our week for a week here. We had never stayed at this property before. The property is very clean and the staff is outstanding. It is close to Disneyland and has a City Shuttle that picks you up in front of the property. It has a nice pool and two spas. The property also has nice outdoor seating and BBQ area. The room was very nice and large, we had two queen beds in the bedroom and a living room with queen sofa, coffee table and end table. It also has a small frig, microwave and sink along with dishes and silverware and a kitchen table. There is no garbage disposal which was the only inconvenience we encountered. However overall I would recommend the property for families with children-- We had grandkids with us. I will stay here again.

Room Tip: Pick a Top floor unit to avoid any noise issues.

Green Features: Nice pool area, BBQ area and location to Disneyland Parks

We stayed here for 4 nights. When we checked in we had arrived early then the expected check-in time of 4pm. I was a little worried as we had had a 14 hour flight with not much sleep and arrived at the Peacock Suites at 10ish. However we were going to ask if we could leave our luggage and we would go off a walk, there was no need as our room was ready and we could check-in, this was fantastic! A major positive to start our US holiday. Reception Staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was lovely, very clean. Had two queen beds in a room and then the kitchen/lounge room. So two TV's so we could watch our shows and teenager could watch hers in the lounge, another plus! We did attend a presentation on timeshare, but when we said no there was no pressure and we left feeling ok. For attending we got some gifts to use in Disneyland so was worth attending. Ladies at the desk on the left were very helpful assisting with booking tours etc. Room was very comfortable, beds very comfortable. We walked to and from Disneyland, 15-20 mins each way. We even walked to the Orange Outlets (in the pouring rain, wasn't raining when we set out), took 40 mins. Easy walking distance to eateries, 7-11 on the corner. There is a shuttle to Disneyland for $5 each running every 20 mins, just out the front of the Suites (we chose to walk). Ticket machine for bus outside Reception. There is a laundry on the 4th floor to wash and dry clothes. 2 hot tubs and a heated pool. Great Family Resort! Enjoyed our stay!

This hotels staff is very dumb and they don't know how to book rooms right. When we first got there they messed up our rooms so our family had to split and half our family was on one side of the hotel and we were on the other. A few hours later the one half of our family got kicked out of their room. Now 10 of us are stuck in a tiny room because the staff kept messing up on the rooms. VERY DISAPPOINTED NOT WORTH THE MONEY NEVER STAY HERE. The pool is also very small and lame.

I've stayed here a few times, and it's always been adequate. But the renovations they've made are very nice! The rooms look a lot nicer. I would definitely stay here again.

Pluses:
- clean rooms with nice decor
- swimming pool and two hot tubs
- pool table
- ping pong table
- arcade games by the pool table (maybe 3? I forget since we didn't play)
- friendly staff
- 2 bedroom suite was very nice!
- (paid) shuttle to Disneyland

Minuses:
- none really, but it was nice when they had the breakfasts

We went as a time share to find out this hotel does both tie share and public reservation. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were nice. Weird thing was they had mini fridges (not maintained to well) microwave, and dishes. No sink to clean them in, if you wanted cleaned one you call the front desk.

Overall a fair place that is close to Disney.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with the kitchen sink

Green Features: Management needed to come around a bit and eventually saw the customer's way. Front clerks are nice and friendly upon check in. On check out they are programmed to asked questions looking for bad experiences or persisting on how things could be better.

Since last years visit it appears that all of the rooms have been renovated. There are still some rooms that lack a kitchen sink, but will be accommodated upon request to vacation owners. They no longer offer breakfast (unless you attend the presentation) which is fine and now have a gift shop on sight but the hours are a little tricky. Since its a vacation rental they also do not offer cleaning but will replenish linens upon request. I rated this higher than average for the price, location in proximity to Disney, cleanliness and the amenities which include the sun deck, pool, splash pad, gym, shuttle and giftshop.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2014

My boyfriend and I came across this hotel on Tripadvisor (imagine that!) while doing a search for hotels near Disneyland. For the price of our stay, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of what we received. There were a couple issues, but they weren't so bad that they would deter me from staying again.

We checked in on a Tuesday evening. It wasn't too late, but we arrived after a long drive, so we were tired. There was one staff member on staff, and she was assisting someone else, so it took a few minutes. It was around Halloween, and they were having a pumpkin decorating contest--inviting guests to vote on their favorites--so we entertained ourselves looking at the entries while waiting to check in. I noticed a calendar that listed other guest activities, such as treat bags on Halloween, which I thought was a nice touch. Even though I wasn't interested in the candy, I appreciated the sentiment.

Now, this is when my first issue arose. Shortly after checking in, we were invited to pick up a "welcome packet" from a nearby desk. We assumed it'd be maps and tips on nearby attractions. Instead, it was a sales pitch for what sounded like a timeshare. We weren't interested, but it still took about five minutes of us shaking our heads for the rep to let us leave with a promise to "think about it." It was odd, but we were just eager to get to bed.

The room: It was small, but perfect for the two of us. We were across from the elevator, but we never heard anything at night. Admittedly, we usually were pretty tired from our daily sightseeing, so that probably contributed to our good nights' sleep. The decor is slightly contemporary -- dark woods and reds with neutral paint. Everything was quite clean. The shower had a nice shelf, which fit both of our various hair products, razors and soap. I'll admit to being a little high maintenance, and I tend to be sensitive to having space for all my products. Between the shelf and the long vanity, I had enough. :)

The bed: Incredibly comfortable. There is a duvet, which can be a bit heavy if you get hot at night. We kept the A/C low and left the door to the bed open to allow for better airflow. There was a small vent in the bedroom, which I think might be an issue to keeping the bedroom cool during the warmer months. I don't know, it could be fine, but I couldn't help but wonder about that.

The view: Non-existent in our room (128). Honestly, we kept the blinds shut during our entire stay (late to bed, early to rise), and it was only during our last day that we decided to see what we were missing out on. Turns out, not much! I usually don't care about the views, unless I specifically purchase a room expecting one (beach front hotel, actual Disney hotel, etc.).

Proximity to Disney: The hotel offers a shuttle to Disneyland that leaves every 20 minutes, and costs $5 roundtrip per person. Or, if you're feeling up to it, it's only about a 20-minute walk (average pace) to the park. We ended up walking both ways, so I can't provide more details about the shuttle.

Pool: Didn't use, but it's kind of small. It's covered by the floor above, but still outdoors.
