“Rooms are very nice, but location not so much...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

We usually stay right across the street from Disneyland so unfortunately for us the shuttle/parking at Disneyland took away from enjoying more time at the park and you don't have the convenience of heading back to your hotel for a break. The rooms are beautiful newly remodeled with a great layout, pool/hot tubs are nice with a ping pong table our kids enjoyed.

The breakfast menu changed the day we arrived due to the breakfast room location moving and it was awful (packaged pastries/juice). However, the room has basic utensils/toaster/microwave so we headed to Vons up the street and picked up our own breakfast items.

The construction going on isn't annoying but between that and valet it isn't pretty. My recommendation is if you don't mind shuttling to the parks then stay here in March when the place is completely remodeled it will be very very nice.

We had 2 nights comp'ed to us. So we used them on Nov 3rd and 4th. When we checked in and got into our room we were totally taken back. It was beautiful. We had a king suite and it was very nicely laid out. We had windows and it was great. I love light. The bedroom was very nice and we had plenty of room to unpack and hang everything up. I loved having an inroom safe. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and it was deep. Loved the shower head. All the staff that we encounted, i.e. car valet, front desk, maids, ect. were fantastic. They had great customer service.

The breakfast was just ok. But it filled you up. The room had plently of tables and we did not have a large crowd in there. Could be because we were there on a Monday and Tuesday.

Although there was construction going on at the hotel, we never heard anything.

All I can say is that I was treated like a VIP...Would I stay again, Oh Yea.

Really cute place! Great price, stainless appliances.Super cute decor. It literally has everything we needed, Kitchenette was super helpful. Staff were FANTASTIC, great customer service to us!!! Breakfast was good. Wish the curtains were closer to the window & darker. Construction didnt really effect us. It will be great when its done. pool was kinda small & covered, we wished they had a toddler pool. I totally understand why they have valet parking...the cars are squeezed in pretty tight so its best to leave it to the valets.

Room Tip: We asked for a higher room away from the 2 main roads, less road noise.

Our family stayed in the Peacock Suites for seven days the first week in November 2013.
When I first walked down the hallway, I wondered how the rooms would be as it was apparent that this was an old property. When we arrived in the room we were pleasantly surprised. It was beautifully decorated and very clean.
Each room had two queen beds. We had two rooms with a door in-between. Both rooms had a sofa that made out into a bed. I did not sleep on one, but my son-in-law did and he said it was a miracle foam mattress and quite comfortable.
There was a armoir to hang clothes and a lot of drawers. We put the suitcases on top of the armoir after we unpacked and really felt at home.
There was a "kitchen area" in both rooms, containing a microwave, small fridge, cupboard with four place-settings of plates, bowls, glasses, cups, and silverware. It was perfectly adequate for what we needed. The appliances were modern and clean. Each room also had a nice table with four chairs in the kitchen area. A sliding glass door separated the bedroom and kitchen area.
The bathrooms were not fancy, but adequate. The sinks and counter were separate, nice for multiple people getting ready at the same time. There was a hair dryer and, my personal favorite, a magnifying, lighted mirror on the wall. The kids were excited because there were large flat screen tvs and dvd players in both the bed area and the kitchen area. Between the two rooms we had four tvs. (We never turned ours on.)
The walk to Disneyland is not as short as it sounds. However we walked it all five days with small children and had no problems. In fact, we arrived each night at the same time as the shuttle. There is a charge for the shuttle and for a large family it seemed too pricy. (There is a good deal on the shuttle for retired people.)
The included breakfast is adequate, but nothing special.
The kids enjoyed the pool the one time we were around to get there.
Construction on the hotel makes getting a round a bit difficult, but not bad.
We had been told that we would be paying for valet parking.(After seeing the garages, we could understand why they require valet parking. It is a small area and they really stack the cars in tight.) Online we saw that the rooms were not cleaned daily. My son-in-law booked the rooms through some program he is on. We did not have to pay the valet parking and we did have housecleaning every day.
All in all, we were very pleased with our stay. It was perfect for a large family to be together.

We wanted a hotel that had separate bedroom, and living space, as our 3 yr old is in bed by 8. The Peacock was nice as it has a full separation. A tip, the glass doors are only frosted, so we took some black garbage bags and taped them up so the light would not bleed into the bedroom when the little one was sleeping.

Upon check-in, you are given a welcome package, which has maps etc of the area. They also do ask you to participate in their timeshare demo, and offer you $100 in Disney Dollars. We were only there for 3 days, so were not interested at all. They do not pressure you on this, which is nice to see. Other reviewers have said their room was not cleaned as they were part of the timeshare. We paid full rate, which was still discounted to $89cdn/night, and that included daily room cleaning. I believe some good rates are to be found while construction is on-going. It is notable that we were not bothered by the construction at all, as its during the day when most ppl are away.

In my opinion the Peacock is NOT walking distance to Disney, as it would take about 20 mins, With bags and little one in tow this would not work for us. However, there is an ART (Anaheim Resorts Transportation) stop and ticket machine at the hotel. This cost me $28 for 3 days unlimited for my wife, child and I. The bus runs every 20 mins, and it takes about 7 mins to get to Disney, as it stops at 2 other hotels. You can use the ART to get all around the area, not just to Disney.

The rooms are updated, and very clean. They are currently doing a reno on the breakfast area to make it larger. The breakfast is free, and consists of bagels, waffles, toast, cereal's, hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee. It is a great start, but could benefit from a few more hot items like scrambled eggs, and bacon.

Overall, I would return to the Peacock.

Wife and I went for a quick anniversary weekend trip to Disneyland. Used my points to book the stay in a 1 bedroom. Room looked liked it was updated and was very comfortable! Only 1 bathroom in the 1 bedroom suite so if you have more than 2 people, be prepared as the bathroom is located in the main sleeping area. Disneyland was really close by though! We plan on staying there early next year for a family trip so the location will be convenient for my niece and nephew to recharge if they need to. The breakfast room was located directly across our room and we couldn't hear any noise at all when our door was closed! Can't say that about other hotels. The breakfast itself wasn't all that great but it did have enough choices to be able to find something to eat.

We left a pair of shoes in the room and called a few days after we checked out and they still had them! They are shipping it to me today! Overall, we're happy that we own a timeshare to be able to stay at Peacock Suites!

There is a lot of construction going on but the rooms are very clean and the pool and hot tubs are fun with great hours (I think it was 8am until 11pm). The one bedroom is pretty small but the two bedrooms are very spacious with 2 bathroom also. We stayed in late October 2013 and there was a lot of construction going on but it didn't really get in our way. The walk to Disneyland is just as fast as the shuttle (about a 10-15 min walk).
