Absolutely unbeatable was the price midweek. We paid about 80 dollars for a room that held four people comfortably.

Good is: the location. Most likely you're looking at this hotel because you want to do the Disney thing, and this is perfect for that. It's about a 20 or 25 minute walk to the entrance plaza. A note about this - the map that the hotel gives you is a bit difficult to understand. It's more of a walk to the tram than it seems on the map. From the point where you would turn right onto Magic Way to get the tram, it's about another 5 or 8 minutes' walk to the plaza, and if you take the tram you'll have to walk 3 or 4 minutes from the intersection, then wait and then there's another short walk from the tram to the ticket booths and gates, so don't bother. Just keep going straight and then hang a left when you see the sign that says "Theme Parks".

The beds were good. There's free parking and free wifi. There's a breakfast of sorts.

Not good was the smell in the room - the drains in our room would be grateful for a really good clean. Also not good was the staff's attitude. It didn't really matter that much, and they weren't downright rude, but after you've been in the States for a while you get used to people at least pretending to be polite and interested, which, even if they aren't really (and why should they be) makes things much easier. All the front of staff at this Super 8 had that "you're-going-to-come-anyway-no-matter-how-rude-I-am-so-why-should-I-bother" air about them that you usually meet in France or Italy.

I've only given this place three stars because it really wasn't that great, but to be honest, if you need a reasonably priced place to crash in in between disneying yourself out, then it's absolutely fine.

We were overall pleased with the motel...except this: It was noticed almost from the moment we stepped into the office and then from then on...these folks were either foreigners or just suffered from personality problems! I mean, the word "smile" I don't believe was in their normal vocabulary! I finally mentioned it to one of those who apparently may have been weened on lemons..."It's hard to believe that so many of you don't smile or show signs of happiness or friendliness when you work right next door to, "The Happiest Place On Earth - Disneyland!" Then I continued by inviting them to visit the park and see what I meant...so they could learn. Part of vacation is being excited about being there - espcially D.L These folks, your employees were pretty much taking any excitement away...Have a special employee meeting and emphasize the importance of treating folks in a happy, friendly way. Tell them that they represent your company. Good or bad.
THEN...the breakfast. Yogurt, fresh fruit, the waffle machine, etc, would have been a welcomed treat! Both days the donuts were served late, and when served they were literally devoured almost immediately. A bunch of starving people wanting something of substance to eat.
As I said. "Good but not so good." Bitter sweet. Would we return? Yes, unless we could find a better price elsewhere.

OK, so I was traveling with students and they wanted a cheap hotel, and that is what we got. The rooms were adequate - no more no less. Clean enough, beds average, bath just OK. The biggest issue I had was with the paper thin walls and doors. If you have people next to you, above you, or below you, expect a lot of noise. Also, if you stay there, be sure to be in your room for the Disney fireworks. The way they rattle the hotel is much more entertaining than the show...seriously - it is loud and the walls rock.
Oh, and I will just add....the lobby does not open until 7am, so don't even think of standing inside if you are waiting for a shuttle early in the morning and it is cold and raining...that seemed a little off, especially since the clerk was stationed at the desk...
And, it is not near any food or convenience store...far from the convention center, but I am not sure how close to Disney if you're looking for that. They did offer breakfast, but nothing hot - pretty basic continental fare.

Thanks for your comment. We're so close that yes, fireworks can literally sound like gun shots. Almost every time we will receive calls at the front desk from guests who are not aware what's going on outside. =)

I have been generous at 4 simply because it was very good for the price I paid. Its an old-style external-balcony-door Super 8 so you know to expect basic accommodation. Very spacious but rather gloomy room with adequate beds, budget bedding and tired pillows, tiny towels but an otherwise OK bathroom. My room had hairdryer, fridge and microwave plus an OK old-style TV. The free breakfast was basic even by Super 8 standards with no fruit or healthy options, just sugar-loaded products, white and brown bread.
The location was great as it was only 15 mins walk to the parking area tram stop or 20 mins to the tram drop-off outside the park entrace. If you don't mind walking it saves the stiff $15 Disney charges to park your car. I would stay here again at the saving I made compared to other hotels I checked out!

Room Tip: Make sure you get a top floor room! These older properties have noisy floors and people above can b...
