“Worth It”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2010

I found that this hotel was a great price and the rooms were everything we needed. They add a microwave and refrigerator! Clean, up to date decor, fresh towels, clean and comfortable beds. My only dissapointment was no jacuzzi! However, the kids enjoyed the pool. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone with a family!

The hotel is clean and very nice. But there was no bar open after 10:00pm and also there was no restaurant. Breakfast was served in a conference room. For the money I paid, there should have been a restaurant and a bar. Next time I'll just stay at a Best Western and receive the same amenities.
The hotel was clean, but to me it's probably worth $99 a night only.

The staff was excellent; friendly and helpful. The front desk night supervisor was especially helpful.

the view of the fireworks was awesome. The pool was terrific and breakfast was good.

Only complaint is that the AC could have worked better and the parking was pretty expensive.

The accomodations were nice; the room a little bit on the smaller side, but it was very clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioner was a much needed item on those hot July days!! The restaurant staff was very cordial and accomodating with all our requests poolside!! The gym, fire pits, and pool added an extra relaxation quality at the end of a busy day at Disneyland..thank you!!

My wife and I stayed at the Red Lion from July 9th through the 12th (in fact, I am typing this from the hotel room). Room 616. Our stay was very enjoyable with the following positives:

-Friendly staff
-Great lobby
-Close enough to walk to Disneyland
-Nice pool
-All rooms updated with modern decor and flat screens
-Great bathrooms
-Free wifi

Negatives:

-Worst bed ever (king mattress feels at least 10 years old, sagging, smelly)
-Air conditioning works only part of the time.

I stayed at the Red Lion for 5 days in June 2010 and the stay was excellent. Room was nice and clean, huge beds, nice bathroom. Managed a swim in the pool too (go in the morning/afternoon to if you're looking for peace and quiet). The free wi-fi access was a godsend for keeping intouch.

I was working at the convention centre and it was only about 5 mins away. It's also nice and close to the restaurants at the anaheim garden.

One minor downside - no HBO. (I did say it was minor).

We are a family of 4 2 boys 3 and 5 year old. We booked this Hotel thru Costo travel which is one of Disney’s good neighbor hotels. When we first checked in we were given a room that had not been cleaned yet. After a 1/2 day in the park we came back to find our room keys not working. My 5 year old who is autistic old pissed his pants cause we could get into our room. The front lobby had only one person working at the time so we had to wait 1/2 hour until they could fix our room keys. You can imagine my Autistic son did not handle this well. They tried to tell us that we demagnetized the cards keys even thou both my wife and I had different card keys that would not work. After getting into the room the room had not been maid up and it was 3:30pm So we left so they could make up our room. The next morning when I was taking a shower I noticed that the shower drain was not draining they came to the room and tried to use some type of plunger on the drain. On the third day after returning from the park guess what? Our room keys did not work again. Again they tried to blame fault on us saying we demagatized the room keys. Come to find out the battery in the door lock was low so they comped us breakfast for the rest of our trip. On our last morning while I was using the toilet I noticed the dirty water starting to come up thru the bathtub drain. This was sewer water from other people. At that time I had enough and just wanted to leave. Thank you Red Lion for making our vacation a living hell. This was to be our family summer vacation that we saved up for 2 years. Red Lion made it the worst vacation ever. I will leave it up to them to make it right. We were in room 223 from 6/24/10-6/29/10
