We stayed at the Clarion Hotel through out the first week of August. I thought it was a great hotel for it's value. Disneyland was within walking distance; about a 15-20 minute walk. The trolley only cost us $10 a day (3 adults and 1 child; my one year old was free) and came every 20 minutes right in front of the hotel. We ended up walking though at the end of the night since the kids were asleep in their strollers and you have to fold up the strollers to go on the trolley.
We paid a bit more for the Suite and the room was clean and ready when we arrived. We got the maid to clean our room once and she did a great job; clean towels, bed made, more coffee for my husband!!! The view was amazing and we could even see the fireworks from our window!
We also got room service one night and it was good. They put fresh pineapple on the pizza, not out of the can!! We ate at one of the restaurant - The Mexicana. Great food and very quiet (could use some music playing in the background)

**Was a great hotel to rest our feet after a busy day at Disneyland!!**

After reading the reviews on here i was very apprehensive about spending my vacation here... but i neednt have worried.

The hotel was very nice, we had booked a mini suite which was perfect for the four of us, plenty of room. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom and shower were clean and well maintained and the room was always spotless every time we came back after a long day.

The staff were always helpful and polite. The breakfast was a littel pricey but good, but you can find plenty to eat around the restort.

The only downside was the pool area was a little dated, but the pool itself was lovely, very quiet on some occasions but even when it was in use at night we couldnt hear anything,

The resort itself is wonderful but would reccomend getting the bus, it is only two blocks (about ten mins to disney) and can be walked in no time, but it took us 30 mins to walk back because we were so tired from the day, so i would reccomend getting the shuttle bus or drive, becasue the price of car entry is the same as a party of four on the bus..

As far as location is concerned this hotel is perfectly situated just far enough away from the main strip of restaurants, but really near the freeway and shops if needed.

Really enjoyed our stay.

Not Bad

We booked our trip through WestJet and got an excellent deal on 7 nights in Anaheim (Clarion), 3 nights in Vegas, flight and car.

The Clarion is not the nicest hotel i've stayed at, but I didn't find it as bad as some of the reviews it got. Our trip was split as we went to Vegas part way through and then returned to the Clarion later so we stayed in two rooms here during our vacation. Overall the place was clean except for a little mold in the bathrooms around the shower and around the vent (which is a vent and not a fan, which would probably explain the mold, there is no ventilation in the bathrooms). I did not see any bugs thank god or I would have been out of there. There is AC and a fridge in the rooms which came in handy to store our bottled water we bought from 7/11. Parking was included booking through WestJet but otherwise I think it's around $10 / day. The hotel is an older hotel and could do with being updated but then I think most of the hotels in that area are the same. We stayed at the Radisson last year which is now the Maingate and this place looks like it's being updated. The hotel is approximately 10 - 15 minute walk from the entrance to Disneyland which isn't bad, they do have a shuttle I think but we didn't take that - when you've been walking for 6 hours a day, what's an extra 10 minutes! On our walk to and from Disneyland you pass by other hotels and the only one that stood out above the rest was the Sheraton but who knows how much that is?

The staff at the Clarion were very friendly. We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the food. I would recommend the restaurants in Downtown Disney although you might have to wait 1/2 hour for a table but it is worth it, if you notice the staff work very hard in these restaurants, if only every place were like this. I would also recommend Millies Restaurant which is also on Harbor Blvd - walk past the Disneyland entrance and it's on the other side of the street, they have a good menu and they offer some smaller portioned meals (which are still very filling) which was good if you didn't want to walk around the park on a very full stomach, the food was great and very reasonably priced.

So overall if you're just looking for a place to sleep that's reasonably priced and not expecting luxury then this place is OK. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it but I wouldn't go out of my way to dis it either, for what we paid.

We booked our stay here as part of a package through Alaska Airlines. We were excited about our stay and visiting Disney Land until the first ten minutes in our room. My husband and daughter were surprised by a HUGE cockroach scurrying across the floor! YUCK! The main desk was nice enough to upgrade us and move us to another room, but the problems didn't stop there.

Twenty minutes after moving into another room we started to hear the whinning and howling of a dog. After listening to the howling for 30 minutes we called the front desk who acted totally surprised and told us they would check into it. The howling of the dog didn't stop for most of the night even though we made repeated calls to the front desk and were given multiple excuses, and to top it off our room abutted the elevators so we got to listen to the elevators going up and down all night along with the serenade of the dog.

The next morning while trying to take a shower we found that the shower was clogged leaving a huge mess. Its not pleasant to stand in two inches of water while you are trying to shower. After a long and fun day at Disney Land we came back to our room. The shower was fixed but guess what we heard 20 minutes into returning to our room at 11:30 at night? That's right, the dog was howling AGAIN! By this time we had enough. We had been patient but the desk was not helpful in regards to the dog and told us that they couldn't send security because they had a big group of kids staying at the facility and this would be their focus.

Needless to say we went down to the desk and demanded that they send someone to take care of the situation. At about 1am the whinning and howling stopped.

If you are going to Disney Land I would strongly NOT recomend this hotel. Find another place to stay and enjoy the Happiest Place on Earth because this hotel will ruin your stay.
