“Great hotel for convention!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

I stayed in the Islander Inn & Suites while in Anaheim for a convention. The hotel was very clean and the staff was courteous! I enjoyed the stay, as the hotel was close to the convention center (easy to walk to) and right across the street from some great restaurants! I would definatley stay in this hotel again.

I cannot believe that a Hotel walking distance to Disneyland can be had for this price and offer immaculate rooms, a pool, and free parking for Disneyland. Staff was exceptional. Great selection of places to eat within walking distance. You will hear very excited kids in the morning getting ready for the day at the Park. Who cares? It's Disneyland not Forest lawn! Be a kid! See you next year. Frank F. Rochester, NY

We weren't going to Disneyland, but needed a one night stay in the area. The rooms are updated with shutter and nice bedding. There is a fridge, microwave and coffee-maker in the room. It was a bit noisy in the morning as everyone was getting ready for the park, but that is to be expected.free parking is a big plus in this area

The hotel was a half mile from the entrance of Disneyland, which wasn't bad, however with two tired kids at the end of the night, it was a bit of a walk. The room was average size. The only thing that bothered me was that the toilet paper was never put on the roll which made me wonder what else the cleaning people were not doing. Other than that the free breakfast was not worth staying there if you are looking for free breakfast, it was basically donuts and muffins, no cereal or fruit. Overall you get what you pay for. Definitely will pay an extra $30/night to stay closer to the park, especially if it's raining. With older kids it might be better.

We checked in on the 15th January 2013 and taken to our room.A few minutes after getting our caes in we found there was a problem with lighting so my son went to see the Manager and they moved us to another room right away and we finished unpacking. The room was extremely comfortable with a fridge & microwave in - the bathroom was spotlessley clean and the room very comfortable with table and chairs and TV. As the week went by we sat out by the swimming pool for our breakfast. The motel breakfast is very basic so we bought ourselves fruit and cereal to have as being English we are not used to Doughnuts or Muffins!! Staff and cleaners were all very friendly and jobs well done.Motel was within easy reach of Ihop as an alternative for breakfast and Cheesecake Factory just up the road to the right, Disney Downtown is a short walk away if you just want to go through to shop. Anaheim Walkway (up near Cheesecake Factory) is another short walk into a beautiful shopping mall with a difference, Lots of places to sit and enjoy the sun and watch the world go by, a beautiful pair of bronze statues sitting on a wall in front of a water fall and plenty of shops to browse and more eating places.

Room Tip: Ask for a downstairs room if you dont want to cart suitcases up two flights of stairs - we are retir...

We stayed for the first time at the Anaheim Islander on Valentine's Day. We drive from Northern California and stop in Anaheim a few times a year for a Disneyland trip with our kids. We are always looking for a good deal that doesn't sacrifice comfort and cleanliness - this was definitely a good deal. It is NOT a luxury hotel, but if you are looking for a clean place within walking distance to Disney than this is a great place to stay! Check in was fast and easy, we had our kids in bed within 10 minutes of arriving. The continental breakfast was just fruit and mini muffins, but it was enough to get the everyone through the morning without having to stop to eat breakfast at a restaurant. There are also several stores and restaurants near the hotel which you can eat at or grab snacks for the park. My favorite thing about this place though was the FREE PARKING, which a lot of other hotels in the area do not provide. The owner even allowed us to leave our car there during our trip to the park even though we had already checked out that morning - very nice. One word of caution: the walk to the park in the morning is fine (about 15 mins) but if you have small children you may want to consider taking the ART shuttle back in the evening or having someone get the car and pull it around, at 10pm that walk turns into death march with tired kids and tired parents.

I chose this place for several reasons - free parking, price, free contintental breakfast, and walking distance to Disneyland. We stayed here for one night with another couple. We had a room with two queens. The other room was a two-room suite (two queens in one room and one queen in another). The rooms were decent size and equipped w/microwave, fridge, and free internet. Our room was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was nothing to brag about. It consisted of some fruit, coffee, orange juice and some store bought pastries. I wish they had hot water to make tea, hot chocolate & oatmeal to add some variety. There are plenty of places to eat surrounding the motel. This by no means the Sheraton but overall isn't bad.
