I booked this resort for a last minute trip to Anaheim with my 2 boys couldn't book Disneyland resort as it was full.
The Good:
Good location, 15 minute walk into the parks. Good water park but pretty small. Comfortable beds, free Wifi that worked pretty good, friendly staff, free parking.
The Bad:
Rooms that have not been remodelled since 1990. No sound proofing in the rooms, you literally heard everybody in the hallway, floors above and below and outside. Then there is my personal favourite, 2 of the main buildings are located right next to the I5 freeway. 10 lanes of traffic 30 feet away from your building. The I5 is one of the busiest freeways in North America and combined with the lack of soundproofing, it sounds like an airport in your room at all hours of the day. Definitely the main reason I would not stay here again.

Fabulous Hotel.. Staff were friendly and rooms were lovely and cleaned each day.
Recommend it especially for the the locality of Disneyland. Only a few minute walk to both parks.
Close to restaurants and all areas for shopping.

We booked two rooms for four adults and five kids. We got a nice discount through mousesavers.com.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and roomy enough to accommodate everyone. The hotel is walking distance, but you can also buy a pass for the Anaheim shuttle that picks you up in front of the hotel. Walking to Disneyland is a lot easier than walking home when you are really tired and have tired kids too. It was well worth the price. We left Disneyland in the late afternoon to have dinner at MiMi's, which is next door to the hotel. We got our second wind and took the shuttle back to Disneyland for the evening. The hotel location, price, and amenities are perfect for a family vacation. The water park is great for the kids if you need a break from Disneyland.

We asked for adjoining rooms, but got only rooms next to each other. The hotel did not tell us they were not adjoining, but everything worked out. The free wi-fi is really no wi-fi because the signal is really poor. You don't come to Anaheim to stay in your room and surf the internet, so it isn't a big loss.

However, the hotel staff was most gracious and allowed us to check in well before the usual time and park our cars in their lot. That saved us quite a bit on Disneyland parking. The savings more than paid for the shuttle passes. The hotel is just off the freeway at the Harbor exit. Easy to access. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms in the new wing are very nice and very quiet.

Great price and great location. No need to stay at a hotel in the park for 3 times the cost. The hotel is a 5 minute walk right to the front gates of Disneyland. Excellent water park for the kids too.

We stayed here for 6 nights for our family trip to Disney. Our kids are age 2,4&6. The website says it is across the street from Disney, which is true, but not across from the entrance! There are about 6-7 hotels somewhat closer to the entrance, but we still felt that the benifits outweighed the extra 5 min walk. We had a sit & stand stroller that we could squish all 3 kids on which was invaluable! Disney is SO much walking and it was a blessing to be able to shuttle all 3 to and from the park with this beast lol.

There are 2 (fenced) pool areas. The kids pirate playground spray park is great. There is no area deeper than about 1.5' so you can pretty much let your kids run like crazy, with out having to hawkeye them. I think this play area would be suitable up to age 8 or so with all the spray activities.

We rented the "kids suite" with a bunk room attached to a king room (awesome!!) and later switched rooms due to availability. Our second room was a kitchen suite attached to a 2 queen room. Having our attached adult space was invaluable, as kids were so tired from the long days at Disney. Well worth the extra few bucks. This hotel is kinda old, 1950's style building, but it seemed safe, clean and had a relitivly updated decor.

No resteraunt on site, but plenty in the 5 min walk range to the hotel. Both rooms had a fridge so we had some breakfast and snack items with us, which worked out great. They have K macines and I would suggest bringing your own K cups as te hotels provided coffee sucked!

Yes hotel backed freeway, but plenty of sound protection windows and we didn't even notice. Other than our bunk room did not have a nice view because if it. I guess the bunk rooms facing Disney would be ideal, as you would overlook the hotel grounds and on floor 3-5 could see the Disney fireworks.

Staff was helpfull with providing a crib, moving bags from one room to another, and generally any questions we had.

Ps: the lush "garden" around the adult pool was being redone at our visit and was an eyesore... But only around the 4 story building to the rear of the property.

This was our first vacation to Anaheim / Disneyland so we had no idea where to stay. The HoJo's we have stayed at in other places have been very good so we felt safe staying at HoJo again. We had a wonderful time seeing everything we had time to see. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
