“Clean, Comfortable, Convenient, Friendly!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

We booked here on literally 12 hours notice. Some friends were headed to Disneyland on a package deal and invited us to join them at the last minute. This is the hotel they were staying at. I got online, found a reasonable AARP rate and booked a king room for 2 nights. We spent the rest of the day driving there!

Upon our arrival, the front desk staff was great - courteous, helpful and answered all our questions about ticket purchases, parking, our friend's arrival the next morning, etc.

The room as spacious, clean and well appointed. Our only complaint - if you could call it one - was the noisy children in the adjoining room. This is Disneyland - kids get excited and the walls are just not thick enough to curb all that enthusiasm. Of course, it doesn't help when Mom and Dad do nothing to quiet down the little tykes either! However - this was no fault of the hotel.

The location is perfect for parking your car there and leaving it the whole time as Disneyland is literally across the street and allows for easy walking to and from.

We bought some items in their well stocked mini-market on site and bought our Disneyland "Park-Hopper" tickets right at the front desk. It should be noted - there were no "deal" prices available during the holiday season and we paid exactly the same as at the resort but with no lines to deal with.

After our two days were up, our friends asked us to stay another day. We went to the front desk and they were able to accommodate our request with no problems, keeping the same room and rate.

All in all, our stay was wonderful and I would recommend this property to anyone looking for something so close to Disneyland!

Sadly, this may be our last time going to Hojo Anaheim. We used to come every year because of the free parking, and a short walk to Disneyland. Now, the Entertainment card rate went up $68 additional dollars, per night, from what we paid last year! We were placed in building #6. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. However, the rooms were dated, and oddly had an industrial style toilet in the bathroom. The kind you find at your work, or at a public restroom, very odd, and not very classy. Another problem was the side security doors were always unlocked and easily opened without the room key card. A stranger had unsuccessfully tried opening our door late in the night which was quite alarming. Also note there is no breakfast at this hotel whatsoever, but you can take a short walk over to Mimi's or Macdonalds. Otherwise all else was fine and the staff was friendly.

Room Tip: Note the rear of building #2 is right next to the freeway.

We had 15 nights staying here. We are a family of five from New Zealand and had the best time. It is so close to Disneyland and California Adventure park. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem. Our poor wee youngest was really sick one day, and we had to get housekeeping into clean up. They were up so quickly, cleaned it all up, and it was spotless when we came back up. The whole complex was well maintained, so lovely and clean, awesome staff, great free parking, free wifi. The beds were lovely n comfortable, with great pillows. We had so much fun in the pool area's. after a long day out sightseeing, we would come home, go for a swim in the main pool, then finish off in the castaway water playground. while the kids had fun in the waterpark, we would relax in the spa-pool and watch. We stayed in tower 1 on the 5th floor, which was nice and quiet. We loved watching the disneyland fireworks at night from our balcony. Awesome service all round. Mimi's Cafe was a great place to eat. Friendly staff, good value for money. Our favourite restaurant was "the Cheesecake Factory", it was delicious, with amazing service. We went to Vons supermarket, which was north off Harbour blvd, really easy to find, staff showed us how to get there. It was a great cheap place to stock up on breakfast/lunch things. Great to take with us on our busy days. Both Disney parks also sold the most amazing fresh fruit. We had the most amazing holiday.
