We stayed at the Hotel Indigo in Anaheim for the reason that it was the only hotel that only had 4* and 5* on trip advisor and I wondered why. Well now I know. The taxi driver from Long Beach was not familiar with this hotel so you would be advised to have the actual address with you. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly check in offering local information, maps, services, etc etc. He was very amenable and knew the answers to all our questions. We had booked two rooms, a family room and a double queen. We were not able to get them connecting as the family rooms do not connect. This seems a misnoma to me as if you have small children you want the connecting room and not a family room. We had another room across the hall and as our kids are 11,15 18 this was not really a problem. The one way see though elevator was very cool and arrived promptly. The rooms are not near the elevators and so this is great as our room was next to the elevator but you could not hear anything. The kids room was on the pool side of the hotel with a view of the fireworks from Disney, again you would want this in the family rooms! The rooms were very well appointed with hardwood floors, rugs, soft close drawers and doors and wonderful lighting, flat screen tv's, a mini fridge. low entry shower with overhead and hand held, Aveda products in the bathroom and a sofa bed in the family room. The DQ room had a kind of sleeper chair. The bed linens were 1st class and the beds on a total par with the Westin bed. My main complaint was the towels were skimpy in both size and texture, both in the rooms and at the pool. Also I would have liked a microwave and robes in the rooms. We paid about $160 per night per room. The pool was adequate but small and so was the hot tub, The poolside loungers and cabanas were excellent. We did not use the gym but it looked small but well stocked. We did not use the bar or bistro but there were a lot of choices. Overall this was an excellent hotel. They also stored our luggage on check out. There was a safe in each room for free as well. Keurig coffee maker. I would definitely stay here again. About a 10 minute walk to Disney with lots of local shops and restaurants nearby. Bus stop is a 2 minute walk. Excellent housekeeping.
