“Great for Disney or Convention”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

Needed to be up there to visit relatives going to park on weekend. Decent room on 11th flr, quick service too. Just park car and walk. 1 of 8 elevators out, so sometimes slow going, if thats concern get a lower floor and take stairs. Also parking is $16/day for hotel guests, but only $12/day max for visitor so could go that route (read rules). Fan/AC/heater bit noisy so turned it off, only to have it occasionally come on by itself. Happens to you, call maintenance. Nice breakfast buffet, but avoid sundays or call ahead. Wanted to try 25k sq ft gym but never got chance. Will give it another go as long as rates stay decent.

Room Tip: If you're going to be in/out number of times a day, would go for lower floor and take stairs, es...

Dear Mike S,

Thank you for reviewing the Hilton Anaheim on TripAdvisor. It sounds as though you were very satisfied with your stay. We are glad to see you were able to enjoy the breakfast buffet at the MIX Restaurant. You also made mention that you would’ve like to have visited our gym. The Hilton Health Club is sure to be one of the most impressive hotel gyms you’ve ever come across in your travels. It even has an indoor pool, a basketball court, and classes taught by licensed instructors. The Health Club is more than just a gym, it is also a spa. For the daily fee you would also have access to hot tubs, a sauna, and much more. You can also book a message or choose from any of the relaxing treatments offered for an extra charge. Please do come stay with us again, take a trip down to the lower lobby and indulge in the experience at the Hilton Health Club.

Kind Regards,
Jennifer Sacks

We spent a week at the Anaheim Hilton,by far you can't get closer or more convenient to Disney. We had a midnight check-in due to the time change from NY. We had no problems checking in, we got to our room it was very clean, the beds were comfy and the bathroom was a good size. We had Sunday brunch downstairs a little expensive but worth it. We went to an Angel game which is 5 minuteds away then came back to the pool, They had a great mini waterpark there, the kids loved it! We made a mistake by driving to Disneyland.... don't do it, either take the shuttle or a cab. You can walk which we did to California adventure the next day. Went to downtown Disney a few nights for dinner, we drove and valeted the car. Its $3 so definatley worth it.The hotel was very helpful when we asked about directions and other info. Had a starbucks ,which we had almost every morning. Took us about 1 hour to Universal and about 1 hour to the city of LA. The Anaheim garden walk was a 10 minute walk, it had a couple of good places to eat there. We also bought all our gifts at the giftshop in the Hilton. The prices were cheaper and they had a ton of stuff. Newport beach was about 20 minutes away that was a nice break form the running through theme parks for 3 days. The hotel is great for location, the rooms are spacious and clean, and very acomodating. I definatley recommend this hotel for a great Disney stay!!

Spent four nights at the Hilton in Anaheim and enjoyed the experience. The staff were very professional. The rooms a good size and well appointed. One of the few beds I haven't had trouble adjusting to. Wanted to use the pool and hot tubs but just couldn't fit them in....perhaps a slightly longer opening time in the evening would help. The lobby areas were comfortable if you needed someplace to wait for someone or just watch the world go by. The bar and restaurant nice. Appreciated the fast food outlets on the ground floor for grabbing a quick bite without breaking the bank. Loved the proximity to the Convention Center. The building itself is uninspiring and the long hallways make a trip back to retrieve a forgotten item or take a child back for last minute bathroom stop, a long, long trip. The entryways were not easy to find and not designed for the pedestrian, though our impressions may have been negatively affected by the construction outside.

Dear tp21-5649,

Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor. This is indeed a sprawling property with over 1,500 guest rooms plus thousands of square feet in function space. The construction outside has slightly affected the normal flow of pedestrian traffic and we apologize that you found the grounds a little tricky to navigate. We have attempted to compensate for the challenges by providing plenty of signage and placing extra team members throughout the property to assist our guests. We are pleased to read that you found our team members to be very professional and that you seemed to have thoroughly enjoy your accommodations. You also made mention that you were unable to make it to our pool and we highly recommend you do so on your next visit. The entire area has been recently reinvented. A dazzling water and fire feature greet you at the gate and beyond the gate you’ll find the brand new aquatic play park for children. Thank you again for the 5 out of 5 and for staying at the Hilton Anaheim. We’d love to see you return.

Kind Regards,
Jennifer Sacks

We chose Hilton not only for their reputation but because of the location and we were not disappointed. This hotel has wonderful restaurants and bars inside together with a Disney Shop and a Sturbucks. Disneyland and California Adventure parks are 5 minutes walk away. The convention centre is just behind the hotel and perfect place to stay when they have shows.

From the hotel you can take various trips. We chose to go to San Diago, Universal Studios and a trip to Los Angeles (inc Hollywood). The bus stop is right outside which gets you to Shopping Malls.

The reception area is large and quick given the number of visitors they get. The Concierge desk is very helpful and saved us from taking taxis by recommending various bus services.

The bedrooms are large and spacious. Opposite the hotel is the Marriott hotel that has Pizza Hut inside. Useful tip is to get a pizza from there and bring it back to the hotel.

Room Tip: Chose a room at the rear so you can see the fireworks from Disneyland each night.

This hotel is simply perfect. The check-in was super fast, the room was clean and spacious. We had a room with a California Adventure Park view and we were able to do an early check-in withour a problem. The bus to the parks parks right infront of the hotel. Next time I go to Disneyland, I will stay in this hotel again.

Dear anh15-

So glad to read that you enjoyed your stay with us! Thank you very much for choosing Hilton Anaheim as your home away from home. If you come back for another visit, please be sure to stop by our Mix Restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner as our executive chef, Kyung Soo Carroll has done an incredible job with our menu and you certainly will need to try out some of his dishes!

Again, many thanks for the kind words and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

The Hilton Anaheim is adjacent to the Disney Convention Center, so don't expect a quiet easy experience. When we visited (for a convention) the lobby was crowded with conventioneers. The rooms are pleasant and well decorated, mid-range in size. Unlike other rooms nearby our room lacked a lounge chair which we had to request from the front desk. The Spa and Gym are outstanding, but may cost extra unless you are a Hilton Honors member. Similarly, the Internet is only free for Hilton Honors members. Like other large convention hotels the parking is a bit of a walk from the lobby. Self parking is $16 and valet parking is $22, but the valet station is far enough away that we found no advantage. There aren't many good restaurants in walking distance, but the Mix restaurant in the hotel will do for a night or two. We have mixed feelings about the Anaheim Hilton, but on the whole it is a very good hotel if your are attending a convention.

A huge construction project is happening right outside the doors of this hote during my stay between Dec 12 and 16th. There may also be construction that is connected to the hotel. This creates some difficulties in navigating around the hotel and figuring out how to walk to places outside the hotel. There are even some dangers such as huge construction equipment that sometimes crosses very close to pedestrians. There are also blind spots when crossing streets. Another huge problem is the noise in the lobby. There was continuous jack hammering at times. I never heard any of the construction from my room. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful during my four night stay. The location is perfectly situated next to the convention center. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Pretty close to Disney and makes for a good morning walk. Once again becomes more difficult with all the construction. The room was very clean and spacious. Noise from other guest was a problem but I got a room switch without hesitation. I would stay here again once the construction is finished but right now I think the rates need to be adjusted because of this situation.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from elevators. If you find it cool as for a room that looks out to Dis...

Dear JayTrip50,

Thank you for reviewing our hotel on TripAdvisor. I apologize that you felt inconvenienced by the construction outside but it sounds like you were very satisfied with the hotel itself, especially our awesome staff and well appointed guest rooms. We would recommend that any guest with questions seek out the assistance of our team members. They have the best information on how to navigate the hotel and the local area during the construction efforts. The project is running perfectly on schedule and we are starting to get our first glimpses of what the end transformation will look like. Construction should be complete by year’s end and we are very excited to welcome the addition of the Grand Plaza at that time. Please do come back and stay with us, we would certainly love to have you.
