“It was all started with a Mouse.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

My friends and I drove to Anaheim for the night to go to Disneyland. I didn't book the room but I believe we had a suite. The room was Huge! We also had a microwave and mini-fridge. Lots of room for 5 women. We had a sleeping area and a little living area with the pullout couch. There were a decent amount of plugs for charging electronics. The bathroom was a bit small, but big enough to get the job done. Water pressure in the shower was great, and towels were normal hotel towels. Beds were pretty comfortable, I didn't have a problem sleeping. The hotel was older but it didn't prove to be an issue. It was nice and clean. We got there around 3pm and were able to quickly get checked in. The hotel is set up a little weird so it seemed like a maze to get to our room. There is a small lot for parking. I didn't interact with the staff but they seemed nice and helpful. There was a breakfast included, it was pretty standard. Also on the property is a pool and a small gift shop. We weren't in the room for very long but we never had an issue with noise.
The walk to Disney wasn't too bad, even at night after walking around the parks. It was decently lit, but I wouldn't suggest walking it alone so make sure you bring a buddy. It looked like there were plenty of shops and restaurants across the street. It is next door to a 7-eleven which could be helpful.

We stayed here while visiting from Alaska and loved it. It provided enough room for our entire family, the beds were comfortable, they had enough towels in the room for all of us and the breakfast was great! We will definitely stay here again.

** Dont confuse this place with the Desert inn which is closer **

Just before I start- there seems to be people confused which hotel this is- The Desert INN is actually pratically opposite the Disney entrance. This hotel whilst still close is at least a 10-15min walk away!! (just saying ) ** We found the walk was quite pleasant. Just take your time if you are tired and remember that a bed is waiting for you just around the corner!!

After much reviewing on tripadvisor, I have come to the conclussion that most hotels in this area are similiar!! They are all ok, a place to sleep whilst you get out and see the attractions. Don't expect too much.

We arrived very late one night and was put in a lower floor room with 2 x QS beds, nothing wrong with the room other than it needed updating. Actually the hall way is a groovy 1980 feel but at least it was clean. We actually paid for a King bed with bunks as my teenaged boy and girl dont like sharing the same bed. We were moved the next day, no problems. Our bed was comfortable, the bunk beds were ok and we could shut the wonky door with a great effort so the kids could sleep if we wanted to watch tv. It was clean and the housekeeping staff did a good job.

The breakfast wasn't anything to brag about- but if you are starving it will fill you up with carbs!!
sugared donuts, waffles, cheap bread in a toaster that barely toasts, sweet oj, cold scrambled eggs and yoghurt and orange quarters. oh and sugary cereal too. Must say the staff worked hard to keep everything in order.

On our first day, we were lucky enough to be greeted at reception by a lovely girl called Stevie. She was fabulous and gave us fantastic customer service. We bought our Disneyland Park 3day park Hopper tickets here as they were the same price as Disneyland.

Stevie recommended to us a private taxi guy called Isaac. We used him to take us eveywhere. We went to the Outlet store mall in Orange- It was only 10-15mins away by car and to pay $10 plus tip to Isaac and avoid the shuttle bus was fantastic- His car is super clean and he is a real gentlemen. 714 624 3617 is his number and he is happy to pick you up and drop you off anywhere providing he is free. (even if you dont stay here- still use this guy! he made our trip!! We asked the shop assistants to call him for us as we didnt have a mobile. As we had a lot of luggage with us, too much for a shuttle bus- he arranged for his friend to pick us up in a private van. It was $95 to LAX- ($68 for four to use the shuttle but you are limited with your baggage allowance ) but it was well worth it- Clean Van, on time, lovely service, even checks if we wanted the heater on etc. This avoided stopping off at other hotels and made the trip stress free.

The orange outlets were great- nice clean mall, nice places to eat and clean toilets (or bathrooms as you say in America) Vans which are costly in Australia were selling for $45!! If you like shoes, you will be in shoe heaven. there are bargains to be found-

We had breakfast at a cafe called the Corner bakery- was really nice to have something decent for a change.

** The cheesecake factory restaurant down the road is well worth visiting- We went for lunch as it gets busy at night. We experienced wonderful service and tasty healthy food. No fries were served with our meal just much needed salad!! oh must try the cheescake too!!

Disneyland was our favourite- we spent 12 hours there!! my kids love thrill rides and so space mountain was prob our fav ride there followed by splash mountain, Indianna Jones and star tours. If you like space invaders and games of that era you will find them in the back of the gift shop next to space mountain. Had to drag my husband out of there!!

Fast passes are so handy!! Use them and use them wisely- a bit of research before you go can save you time.

California Adventure- also nice, we were told to line up for a fast pass at cars- we did this and the line was huge at 9.30 in the morning- after a 30 min wait- we had our pass and had to return at 1.30pm- Enjoyed our day- again research now to make the trip a bit smoother!! Oh tower of terror was fun- wont give it away but laughed during the whole ride- was fun. Would recommend the chicken skewars opp the jungle cruise. also the yogurt granola and fruit too. Nice to see a healthier option other than hot dogs.

The bug 3d film was a bit of fun- little scary for small kids but there was no line so we went on it. the Roller coaster was fun too. The staff do a great job, pushing through so many people.

The hotel was ok, nothing to rave about but it was very clean and I think having a clean room with clean crisp sheets is a must!!!

Well done to Stevie, you should get a huge pay rise as you really do shine and make all your guests feel very welcome.

This hotel does a good job of making you want to leave all day. The furnishings are horribly uncomfortable and the concierge was rude at best ( the woman, not the man-he was unfortunately so helpful to the couple in front of us that we had to wait 15 minutes until the woman came in). The coffee situation is horrible, too, styrofoam cups and powdered creamer-nasty stuff. The tv was broke, although they fixed it the next day. They weren't good at replenishing our toiletries, either. The breakfast was ok, just don't expect "real food", the juice is tang and the eggs taste powdere and the oatmeal was like glue.
Can't say I'd recommend this place to a friend. Maybe if you paid under 70.00 a night it would be worth it.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Disneyland. The rooms were clean and have a range of options for large groups. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the parks and being able to get a suite with two queen beds and a sofa bed. The room was huge! It also had a table and chairs, perfect for a meal of take-out after a long day at Disney. It is really close to the parks, no need for a shuttle, and it is right by the 7-11 and a convenience store so you can buy water before going to the parks. The pool was fun, they have a huge beach ball in it; although it is chilly! Our only complaint was the breakfast; it was not good at all. We ended up buying cereal instead. It doesn't compare to Holiday Inn Express breakfasts. We would stay here again, it's close to restaurants as well as the parks without being right in the crowds.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 345 and it was great.
