First of all, our family needs a "real" suite, with a real door between the rooms, and it's hard to find a hotel (or especially a motel) that fits that requirement - at any price. And when visiting Disneyland, this motel has the best location we've ever had - literally just across the street - no waiting for trams or buses. Don't get me wrong; you will not be "pampered" here, but they have everything you need (just not much more). They have a standard continental breakfast, so you get your coffee, juices, fruit, cereal & other carbs (but no protein other than the milk). You get shampoo/conditioner & soap, but no lotion, shower cap etc. You get coffee & a coffee maker in your room, but its pretty basic. For us it worked fine (and everything did work properly), and I loved saving some money. (Oh, and bring some earplugs for sleeping.)

I love the location. I liked being able to walk back to the hotel for an afternoon nap or to change for the cooler evening hours.
The beds are so hard & uncomfrontable that I spent the night tossing & turning trying to get comfrontable instead of sleeping.
Breakfast is very basic. Cold cereal, danishes, fruit (either apples or oranges, never bananas), coffee, tea and juice.

The Desert Inn-Anaheim is perfectly located directly across Harbor Blvd from Disneyland...just walk out your door and across the street and you're there!
The rooms are clean, but average sized, even for a suite; all amenities in the room worked fine. If you are looking for a good continental breakfast, you may want to go elsewhere. Not much selection and the dining area is TINY. It's interesting to navigate around the property; while the pool is advertised as "indoor", you must go outside to get there. Not usually a problem in southern California, but be advised.
Parking is tight, as others have mentioned, but we were always able to find a spot, with the help of the parking attendants.
Though we enjoyed our stay there, I would probably look elsewhere in the future as the property is a bit dated and others in the area have more for the same price.
